San Marcelino St. Ermita, Manila La Semana del español en la Philippine Normal University cumple tres años y para celebrarlo habrá juegos, talleres, concursos, cine y hasta un recital de poesía. Los estudiantes están más que invitados a participar en esta serie de actividades, una oportunidad para acercarse de una manera diferente a la lengua española y a la creación artística de nuestro país. The Spanish Week at the Philippine Normal University is on its third year and to celebrate it there will be quiz bees, games, workshops, movies and poetry reading. Este año, la jornada está dedicada al uso del cine como recurso didáctico para la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera (ELE). This year s conference is dedicated to the use of film as an educational means in teaching Spanish as a foreign language (ELE). Con motivo de esta celebración y en colaboración con la Embajada de España en Filipinas, la Semana del Español de 2015 de UP contará con una programación especial en la que antiguos alumnos, hoy filólogos, compartirán experiencias con el alumnado actual de estudios hispánicos, desarrollándose entre otras actividades, charlas sobre las oportunidades laborales del español. Oro y Negro es el título de la muestra que recopila imágenes y documentos de la historia de la organización. Además, habrá un quiz show sobre Pinoy Teleserye - la homóloga filipina de la telenovela hispanoamericana, se proyectará cine español y tendrá lugar una noche dedicada a la cultura española en la que habrá conciertos, danza y teatro. The UP Círculo Hispánico is one of the oldest university student s associations for Spanish in the Philippines and it will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. On the occasion of this celebration and with the collaboration of the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines, the 2015 Spanish Week at UP will have a special program

4 where former students, today philologists, will share their professional experiences with the current Spanish Language Studies students, carrying out among other activities, talks about job opportunities of the Spanish language. Oro y Negro is the title of the exhibit which displays a compilation of pictures and documents of the history of the association. In addition to this, there will be a quiz show about Pinoy Teleserye, the Filipino equivalent of Latin American soap operas, Spanish films will be shown and there will be a cultural night with concerts, dance and theatre performances. Organizada por la asociación filipina Type Kita, la actividad está dirigida a aquellos amantes de la tipografía y el diseño gráfico que quieran aprender de la experiencia y disfrutar del saber hacer de este creador. El aforo está limitado a 18 plazas. The Embassy of Spain in the Philippines is sponsoring this workshop on calligraphy and creating typographies to be given by Joluvian, a Venezuelan graphic designer based in Madrid. Organized by the Philippine association Type Kita, this activity targets those enthusiasts of typography and graphic design who may want to learn from experience and get the most out of the knowledge of this artist. La Iglesia parroquial de San José de las Piñas acoge la nueva edición del Festival Internacional del Órgano de Bambú (IBOF) organizado por la Bamboo Organ Foundation y que en 2015 cumple su cuadragésimo aniversario. Tanto la iglesia (1819) como su órgano de bambú ( ) fueron construidos por el sacerdote español Diego Cera de la Virgen del Carmen, quien fue párroco de Las Piñas entre 1795 y La Embajada de España en Filipinas patrocina un año más este festival referente dentro de la escena musical internacional, en el que el órgano de bambú es el protagonista principal. Actualmente es la única publicación de este tipo y su popularidad ha ido creciendo de forma constante durante los últimos años. En este nuevo número, el lector encontrará artículos sobre literatura, fotografía, arte, patrimonio y cine, entre otras temáticas, a través de colaboraciones como las del escritor Jose Dalisay, la fotógrafa Wawi Navarroza, el lingüista Hans Jörg-Döhla o la historiadora Alicia Castellanos Escudier. La edición impresa y digital ha sido posible gracias a la colaboración de MAPFRE. Manila, 7 p.m. En colaboración con la Universidad de La Salle, el Instituto Cervantes de Manila ofrece la oportunidad de conocer y mantener un coloquio con el escritor español Juan Manuel de Prada, que presentará su obra en Filipinas. Su último libro es Morir bajo tu cielo, una novela ambientada en Filipinas y que recrea los sucesos del sitio de Baler. In cooperation with De La Salle University, the Instituto Cervantes of Manila offers the opportunity to meet and greet the Spanish writer Juan Manuel de Prada, who will present his work in the Philippines. His latest book is Morir bajo tu cielo, a novel that recreates the events of the Baler siege.
