Dresser (5155) - Assembly and Operation Manual ongratulations on purchasing a MDB Family product. This dresser will provide many years of service if you adhere to the following guidelines for assembly, maintenance, and operation. This dresser is for residential use only. Any institutional use is strictly prohibited. Please be sure to follow the instructions for proper assembly. Use a Phillips head screwdriver for assembling the dresser. Do not use power screwdrivers. All of our dressers are made from natural woods. Please understand that natural woods have color variations which are the result of nature and are not defects in workmanship. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE PARTS. 3 STEP 1. Use two Phillips head screws () to fasten each of the four right panel glides (M) to the right panel (E). Then use two Phillips head screws () to fasten each of the four left panel glides (N) to the left panel (F). M. Right Panel glide M or N N. Left Panel glide E. Right Panel F. Left Panel STEP 2. Use Phillips head screw () to fasten the L brackets (H3) to the cross bars () and (D). H3 H3 H3 D H3 D STEP 3. Using Phillips Head screws () to attach the front and rear cross bars to the left and right panels (E and F). Be sure that the unpainted top and bottom cross bars are placed to the rear. F. 5 STEP 6. Attach the back panel (G) using the Phillips head screws (H5). G. Back Panel H5 STEP 7. Assemble drawers All drawers are assembled in the same way. 7a.) 6 7b.) Slide the drawer bottoms (L) into the grooves in the front (H) and sides (J). 7c.) Place the drawer backs on and fasten them with four Phillips head screws (). K. L. This hardware, when properly installed, could provide protection against unex pected tipping of furniture due to improper use. 8 1. Attach one of the mounting brackets securely to the back edge of the furniture using the shorter screws. 2. Determine where the dresser will be placed and mark the wall approximately 2 below the bracket mounted on the dresser. 3. Drill a 3/16 hole in the wall. Press the plastic anchor into the hole and gently tap until the flange on the anchor is against the wall surface. 4. Position the other bracket over the anchor and use the longer screw to securely attach the bracket to the wall. 5. Place the dresser so that the bracket on the back edge is in line with the bracket on the wall. 6. Lace one end of the nylon restraint strap down through each bracket. Bring both ends together and slide the beaded end of the strap through the keyhole shaped slot on the other end, slide until it is snug. Pull down on the beaded end so it snap- locks into the keyhole slot. 7. To double lock, return the beaded end back through the keyhole as shown. 8. heck to make sure the strap is securely laced and locked to the bracket. 1. Junte ambos extremos y deslice el extremo con reborde de la franja a través de la ranura con molde de ojo de cerradura al otro extremo, deslícelo hasta que esté ajustado. Jale hacia abajo en el extremo con reborde para que se fije automáticamente en la ranura del ojo de la cerradura. 7. Para volver a asegurar, retorne el extremo con reborde de regreso a través del ojo de la cerradura como se muestra. 8. Revise para asegurarse que la franja esté bien fijada y asegurada a la abrazadera. page 8 página 8
