2 Ejercicio 2 Parejas famosas Collect a card from your teacher and read about who you are and who you are looking for. Spend a couple of minutes constructing the questions you may need to ask in order to find your partner. Act as if you are the famous person on your card, do not show anyone your card and try to find your partner / couple by asking your classmates questions until you find your other half (not all the couples in the cards are romantically linked). 3 Teaching notes and answers Exercise 1: This exercise will introduce the students to the famous couples in case they do not know them, so that when they do exercise 2, they are familiar with who they are. Ask students if they know any famous fictional couples; talk (in Spanish) about their nationality, job, physical description etc. as a warm-up exercise Idea: you could download / photocopy some pictures of these famous people from online sources in order to make the task more attractive and help the students identify who is who Divide the class into pairs / small groups Give each group the a set of cut-up cards with the names of famous couples and the cards with the small text about each couple / or ask them to cut the cards out themselves / or ask them to match up couples with the correct text combining numbers and letters. This task can be done in a competitive way (e.g. with time restrictions to finish the task etc.). 1h / 2i / 3g / 4l / 5k / 6e / 7f / 8d / 9a / 10b / 11c / 12j Exercise 2: Cut out cards below and distribute one to each student. Note: there are 24 cards, one for each student in the class; you will have to add more if there are more students (ideas for possible couples: Batman and Robin, Superman and Lois Lane) Page 3 of 5
