Anointing of Sick: Please contact parish office to schedule. If admitted to the hospital, please be sure at check-in to register your faith and your parish. In appreciation for all your hard work this year in service to our parishes, the altar servers are invited to a private pool party. Pizza will be served... parents and siblings welcome! Parish Support for Food Pantry The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Hyacinth Church and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sodality of St. Patrick Church collect items for the Illinois Valley Food Pantry on the weekend of the first Sunday of each month. The pantry helps an average of 750 families living in our area by providing food assistance to people who are in the following emergency circumstances: lack of employment or insufficient income, food stamps or other public aid delayed or has run out, family resources depleted by sickness or old age. We are asking each family in our parish to bring at least one canned or boxed item of food each month! This would do so much to help our local families in need. The next collection weekend will be August 1-2. St. Hyacinth Bazaar The Saint Hyacinth s Bazaar will be Saturday, August 22! Come enjoy a fun-filled night of food, drinks, games, and live entertainment by Steve & Steve. Let your friends know - what a great night for a grade school reunion! Raffle tickets for each parishioner have been mailed. Money and ticket stubs (please fill out completely) can be placed in an envelope and dropped in the collection basket at Mass or mailed in to the parish office. If you would like more tickets, please contact Sara or Stacey at the numbers listed below. Please return any tickets you will not be using. The drawing for prizes will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Bazaar. You need not be present to win. We are looking for new items to be donated for raffles. Volunteers are also needed to help in working the night of the Bazaar. Adults are needed, and it is a great opportunity for students who need volunteer hours for Confirmation or for high school students. El paciente tiende a perder contacto con la realidad y a menudo padece una defectuosa percepción del paso del tiempo. Se manifiesta sólo cuando el sacerdote comienza a predicar la homilía. Los estudiosos del tema nos comunican, que incluso hay personas que en ese momento les da por comenzar a rezar el Rosario. En casos agudos se puede caer hasta en la total inconsciencia, que sólo desaparece cuando los demás, se ponen en pie tras la homilía y comienzan a rezar el credo. Sería muy bueno que intentáramos en nuestras parroquias y comunidades vacunarnos contra ellas... Fuente: revistaecclesia.com Recepción de los Sacramentos y Otras Celebraciones Para recibir y celebrar los sacramentos dignamente debemos prepararnos espiritualmente con la oración y la confesión. También tenemos que completar los registros requeridos y programas parroquiales. Por favor llame o escriba a la oficina de la parroquia con anticipación para programar, planificar y recibir un sacramento. Bautismo Los padres y padrinos deben ser miembros activos y registrados de una parroquia católica. También deben asistir a la clase de bautismo que se reúne el primer jueves de cada mes a las 5:15pm (favor de registrarse con Diacono Guerrero o con la oficina de la parroquia). Un formulario de inscripción debe ser completado, despues puede programar la fecha en la oficina de la parroquia. Primera Comunión y Confirmación Cada niño y adulto joven debe completar dos años de clases de catecismo (CCD) y asistir a misa con regularidad para recibir estos sacramentos de la iniciación cristiana. El registro para las clases es en agosto de cada año. Oficina de la Parroquia Unción de los Enfermos Favor de comunicarse a la oficina de la parroquia para programar la visita. Si ingresa en el hospital, por favor asegúrese de marcar en su hoja de ingreso Religion y el nombre de su parroquia. En caso de una emergencia, por favor llame a la oficina en cualquier momento y siga las instrucciones automáticas para llamadas de emergencia. Confesiones Guías de confesión, así como el examen de conciencia están disponibles afuera de los confesionarios y en la página web.
