1 Gospel Question of the Week: October 15, th Sunday of Ordinary Time GRADES 6, 7, & 8 Matthew 22:1-14 There is room for all at God s table, but will all accept the invitation? In this story, we see that acceptance requires more than just showing up. We have to come prepared! Let s be alert and ready for God s feast! Who came to the wedding feast that the king prepared for his son? Quién vino a la fiesta de bodas que el rey preparó para su hijo? 2 Gospel Question of the Week: October 22, th Sunday of Ordinary Time GRADES 6, 7, & 8 Matthew 22:15-21 We see the sneaky Pharisees trying to catch Jesus in a trap. They do not succeed, however. Over and over, Jesus reminds us to think outside the box and not compromise our values or our ability to be present and a force for good in society. How did the Pharisees try to trap Jesus in today s Gospel? Cómo trataron los fariseos de atrapar a Jesús en el Evangelio de hoy? 3 Gospel Question of the Week: October 29, th Sunday of Ordinary Time GRADES 6, 7, & 8 Matthew 22:34-40 The way Jesus spoke of the commandments gives us a clue as to how to live them. He tells us to focus on what and who we should be. When love for God, others, and self becomes the focus, then there is room for nothing else! 4 Gospel Question of the Week: November 5, st Sunday of Ordinary Time GRADES 6, 7, & 8 Matthew 23:1-12 There is no true teacher, master, or parent but God. Still, we can honor the reflection of God s love and wisdom in those around us while still realizing they pale in comparison. Mateo 23:1-12 No hay verdadero maestro, maestro o padre sino Dios. Jesus makes it clear that the joys of heaven are not a given, but we don t have to earn them either. Instead, we have to be ready and present.
