1 ANUNCIO DE REGATA El EuroFlyingCup 2008 para la Clase FD, se celebrará en aguas de la Bahía de Altea, los días 7, 8 y 9 de febrero de 2008, organizado por el Club Náutico de Altea, por delegación de la IFDCO. 1. REGLAS: 1.1 La regata se regirá por: a) Las reglas de regatas como se definen en el Reglamento de Regatas a Vela de la ISAF (RRV) b) Las Reglas de las Clases FD. c) Las Instrucciones de Regata. Será de aplicación la regla 67 del RRV. En caso de discrepancia entre el presente Anuncio de Regata y las Instrucciones de regata, prevalecerán éstas últimas. 2. CLASES QUE PARTICIPAN: 2.1 El Trofeo EuroFlyingCup de Altea está reservado a barcos de la Clase Flying Dutchman. 3. ELEGIBILIDAD: 3.1 Los participantes deben cumplir los requisitos de elegibilidad de la ISAF y prescripciones de la RFEV a este Apéndice. 4. PUBLICIDAD: 4.1 Los participantes podrán exhibir publicidad individual clasificada como de Categoría C. 4.2 Se podrá exigir a los participantes la exhibición de Publicidad conforme al apartado 20.3(d)(i), reglamentación 20 del Código de Publicidad de la ISAF. 4.3 Quedan modificadas todas las reglas de Clase que se opongan a esta previsión 5. INSCRIPCIONES: 5.1 Las inscripciones se cumplimentarán necesariamente en el formulario adjunto. 5.2 Las inscripciones, junto con la fotocopia de la licencia federativa se remitirán a: Club Náutico de Altea Av. del Puerto s/n Altea. 2 La fecha limite de recepción de inscripciones es el 4 de febrero de El Comité Organizador se reserva el derecho de admitir inscripciones que se reciban después de la fecha limite y siempre que cumplan con lo dispuesto en el punto El Comité Organizador podrá exigir la presentación de documentos que justifiquen los datos del Boletín de inscripción. 5.5 Las tasas de inscripción son de 100 por embarcación, que se abonarán en la siguiente cuenta: IBAN ES REGISTRO DE PARTICIPANTES: 6.1 Cada tripulante deberá registrarse y firmar personalmente el Formulario de Registro en la Oficina de Regatas antes de las 10:00 horas del día 7 de febrero de El registro queda condicionado a la presentación, antes de la hora señalada, de los siguientes documentos: a) La licencia federativa de deportista de la RFEV PROGRAMA 7.1 El programa del evento es el siguiente: 6 de febrero: h Apertura Oficina de Regatas h Ceremonia de Apertura 7 de febrero: h Control de firmas h Salida de la primera manga del día h Cena 8 de febrero: h Control de firmas h Salida de la primera manga del día h Cena 9 de febrero: h Control de firmas h Salida de la primera manga del día h Entrega de trofeos 8. FORMATO DE COMPETICIÓN: 8.1 Se navegará en flota. 8.2 Hay programadas 9 pruebas, de las cuales deberán celebrarse 1 para que el evento sea valido.

3 9. PUNTUACIÓN: 9.1 Se aplicara el Apéndice A y el Sistema de Puntuación Baja, descrito en la regla A 4.1 del R.R.V. 10. PREMIOS: Los trofeos se publicarán en el Tablón Oficial de Anuncios. 11. ALOJAMIENTO Se proveerá alojamiento gratuito a todos los participantes de la regata EuroFlying Cup 2008 durante los días 6, 7, 8 y 9 de febrero de RESPONSABILIDAD: 11.1 Los participantes en el EuroFlying Cup 2008, lo hacen bajo su propia responsabilidad y riesgo El Comité Organizador o cualquier persona u organismo involucrado en la organización del evento, rechazan responsabilidad alguna por perdidas, daños, lesiones o molestias que pudieran acaecer a personas o cosas, tanto en tierra como en el mar, como consecuencia de la participación en las pruebas amparadas por este Anuncio de Regatas Se llama la atención sobre la Regla Fundamental 4, Decisión de Regatear, de la parte 1 R.R.V.: Es de la exclusiva responsabilidad de un barco, decidir si participa en una prueba o si continua en regata. 13. 4 International Flying Dutchman EuroFlyingCup NOTICE OF RACE The Club Náutico Altea and the IFDCO have the pleasure of inviting members of the International Flying Dutchman Class Organisation to participate in the International Flying Dutchman 2008 EuroFlyingCup which will be held at Altea, Spain from 6 th to 9 th February The Organising Authority is the Club Náutico Altea in collaboration with the Federación de Vela de la Comunidad Valenciana (FVCV). The event will be conducted on the waters of Altea. 1. Rules The event will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing , the current Flying Dutchman class rules and IFDCO Championship rules. The International Flying Dutchman 2008 EuroFlyingCup is classified Category "C" in accordance with the ISAF Advertising Code (RRS Appendix 1) as restricted by the IFDCO Class Rule 119. Competitors may be required to display Event sponsors name(s)/logo(s) and bow numbers. If required, the Organising Authority will supply these items and they shall be affixed and/or worn as prescribed in the Sailing Instructions. The Organising Authority reserves the right to refuse advertising by a boat or competitor when it is in conflict with the laws of the Spanish government. 2. Eligibility and Entry 2.1 The Event is open to all boats of the International Flying Dutchman Class. 2.2 The Event is open to all those who are fully paid up members of IFDCO. Membership Cards must be presented at Registration. 2.3 Eligible boats may enter on official Entry Form which shall be lodged with the Organising Authority or through the official electronic form on the event website. The fully completed entry form must be received at the entry address not later than 31 st January 2008 accompanied by the required fee (entry fee). Entries may be accepted after the closing date at the discretion of the Organising Authority.

5 3. Fees Entry fees are stated in 100. All entries will receive a competitors pack at registration. The entry fee shall be transfer to the account number below named to the Club Náutico Altea not later than 31 st January IBAN: ES CAIXESBBXXX 4. Schedule of Events February 6 th 10:00 hrs. Opening the race office 20:00 hrs. Open Ceremony (including Cocktail) February 7 th 12:00 hrs. Sign control 13:00 hrs. Starting signal for the 1 st race of the day 21:00 hrs. Free Dinner in the Club House February 8 th 11:00 hrs. Sign control 12:00 hrs. Starting signal for the 1 st race of the day 21:00 hrs. Free Dinner in the Club House February 9 th 11:00 hrs. Sign control 12:00 hrs. Starting signal for the 1 st race of the day 17:00 hrs. Prize giving ceremony Everyday the organization will provide to all the crews with a picnic bag containing water, sandwiches and fruits. On Saturday February 9 th there will be no starting signal later than h. 5. Sailing Instructions The sailing Instructions will be available not later than 4 th February 2008 on the official website of the Club Náutico Altea ( They will also be available at registration. 6. Racing Area The racing area will be on the waters of Altea Bay in the vicinity of Altea Harbour. 7. Courses The courses will be Triangular as described in the sailing instructions. 8. Scoring The Low Point scoring system, Appendix A 4.1 will apply There are 7 races programmed. If 4 or more races are completed there will be one discard. 9. Penalties RRS Turns Penalty will apply.

6 10. Support Boats Team Managers, Coaches and other support personnel shall keep at least 100 m clear of the course area during racing except when asked to assist by the Race Committee. All support and coach boats shall prominently display an identification flag (white with black letters 600mm hoist by 600mm fly) bearing the three-letter code or the Nationality Flag of the competitor s nation that they are supporting. 11. Radio Communications A boat shall neither make radio transmission while racing nor receive radio communication not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. The use of electronic devices is forbidden and includes GPS, radio and telephones. 12. Prizes The following prizes will be awarded: EuroFlyingCup will be presented to 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th places The Ladies Prize. First lady in overall results. Additional prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Organising Authority. 13. Rights To Use Name and Likeness In participating in the event a competitor automatically grants to the Organising Authority and the sponsors of the event the right, in perpetuity to make use, and show from time to time and at their discretion any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or film television and any other such reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition for the said event in which the competitor participates and in all material related to the said event without compensation. 14. Entry Disclaimer It is the competitor's decision whether to enter the Event or to start and continue in any race. Competitors shall accept that their participation in an event is at their exclusive risk in every respect. Refer RRS Rule 4, Decision to Race. The Organising Authority and the Club Náutico Altea, their officers, members servants and agents, accept no liability in respect of loss of life personal injury or loss or damage to property which maybe sustained by reason of their participation or intended participation in an event or how so ever arising in connection with an event. 15. Buoyancy All competitors shall wear personal flotation devices at all times whilst racing. The devices should be in good condition and in accordance with the current specifications issued or approved by a National Authority affiliated to the International Sailing Federation, or a Standards Organisation or Certification Authority recognised for that purpose by its respective government. Attention is drawn to RRS Fundamental Rule Substitute Helmsperson/Crew Either the Helmsperson or crew may be substituted before the first race after informing the Jury in writing. Or after the first race provided that approval in writing has been obtained from the Jury.

7 17. Accommodation The organization will offer free accommodation for the sailors (with the limit of the first 40 entries) from February 6 th to 9 th.
