1 God Leads Wise Men to Jesus Matthew 2:1-12 Parent: As you read the Bible story, do the actions with your child. God said a long, long time ago, Someday I ll send to earth (point down) Someone who will save the world; watch for his special birth. (hold hand above eyes and scan) God chose the baby s mother, and Mary was her name. (hold up one index finger as Mary) Joseph took her as his wife; things would not be the same. (hold up other index finger as Joseph and bring him to Mary) They had to walk to Bethlehem to be counted by the king. (move index fingers forward) When they tried to find a room, there wasn t anything! (hold palms up and out, empty) They stayed inside a stable where animals were kept, (hold hands on head like animal horns) And that s the place where Jesus, the little Savior, slept! (rest head on folded hands) Yes, Mary gave birth to Jesus, just as God had said. (pretend to hold baby) She laid him in a food box; it was his baby bed. (pretend to lay down baby) Later there were wise men who traveled from afar, (walk in place) Looking for the Savior by following his star. (hold hand above eyes and scan) As God moved his special star, the men went where it led (point up and then walk in place) Right to a house in Bethlehem, just as God had said! (point out) They gave some gifts to Jesus and worshiped him as King. (extend hands as though giving) They praised him as their Savior and Lord of everything. (form cross with arms)

2 The Bible tells us that Jesus died to take away our sins and rose to give us life in heaven. Trace the dotted lines. Learn About Jesus God used a star to lead the wise men to Jesus the Savior of all people. The pictures show how you can learn about him. Finish the pictures as directed. We learn about Jesus at church. Make the windows colorful. Finish the faces of the people reading a Bible story.

3 Dios guía los sabios a Jesús Mateo 2:1-12 Padre: mientras lee la historia bíblica, haga las acciones con su niño. Dios prometió que iba a ayudar a la gente enviando un Salvador para quitar todos sus pecados, las cosas malas que hacemos. Dios envió a su Hijo, Jesús, a la tierra para ser el Salvador. Jesús nació como un bebé. (Haga como que acuna un bebé.) Dios eligió a una joven llamada María para ser la madre del niño Jesús. Ella se casó con un hombre llamado José. Ellos esperaron juntos el nacimiento de Jesús. Cuando se acercaba el día del nacimiento de Jesús, María y José tuvieron que ir a la ciudad de Belén. (Camine por el lugar.) El rey quería saber cuántas personas tenía en su territorio. María y José buscaron un lugar dónde quedarse esa noche, pero no pudieron encontrarlo. (Las palmas de las manos hacia arriba, vacías.) Y se quedaron en un establo donde guardaban animales. Ahí nació el niño Jesús. María acostó al niño en un pesebre, que era una caja en la que comían los animales. (Haga como que acuesta al bebé.) Lejos, muy lejos de Belén vivían unos sabios que hicieron un largo viaje para ir a buscar al Salvador. (Camine por el lugar.) Dios puso una estrella en el cielo para que los llevara cada vez más cerca de donde vivía Jesús. La estrella se detuvo en una casa en Belén. (Mueva la mano por el aire y deténgala.) Dios los llevó al niño Jesús! Los sabios le dieron regalos. (Haga la acción de entregar regalos.) Los sabios adoraron a Jesús como su Salvador y Rey. Navidad para Niños

4 La Biblia nos dice que Jesús murió para quitar todos nuestros pecados y resucitó para darnos vida en el cielo. Trace las líneas de puntos. Aprenda sobre Jesús Dios usó una estrella para guiar a los sabios a Jesús, el Salvador de todos. Los dibujos le muestran cómo puede aprender sobre él. Termine los dibujos según las indicaciones.
