1 How to Follow Your R-FEP Students These forms may help you track your R-FEP students more efficiently. 1. Form 12a This form is to track R-FEP students who are doing fine. 2. Form 12b Use this form if the RFEP student is struggling and needs an SST to determine appropriate interventions. 3. Create a Student Performance Report from Edusoft include State Tests and Benchmark Assessments 4. Student Progress Report from each teacher if necessary. 5. R-FEP Tracking forms Elementary Middle School High School easy form for students who are progressing adequately. High School form used when the students are getting poor grades and need more frequent monitoring. 6. Student Survey Use as needed. 7. At the end of the year if a student is moving to a middle school or high school please forward R-FEP tracking forms and any other helpful information to the appropriate EL Coordinators.

His/her progress is being reviewed. If the student is not maintaining grade level academic proficiency, continue through the process below to consider additional interventions. Area of Proficiency Criteria This Student s Achievement 1. Teacher evaluation of the student s English language proficiency. Teacher observation Student s classroom language, both social and academic, is similar to that of native speakers. 2. Teacher evaluation of curriculum mastery as measured by the most recent report card. 3. Objective assessment that the student s reading comprehension and writing proficiency are at a level comparable to native speakers. 4. Parent opinion regarding their student s progress. Report Card Grades District Benchmark Assessments ELA 70% Math 70% Parent statement Student receives a grade of C or better (or the equivalent) in core content areas. Student demonstrates grade level proficiency on District Benchmark Assessments in English. Parent indicates concern regarding current student achievement.
