2 Gramática 1 - SUSTANTIVOS Nivel : principiante Sustantivo: es la palabra que se usa para designar SERES OBJETOS LUGARES de existencia real o imaginaria. The noun is the word you use to name people, things or places with real or imaginary existence. objeto: una bicicleta - a bike ser de existencia real: un hombre - a man ser de existencia imaginaria: un centauro - a centaur lugar: Miami - Miami También se usa para nombrar PROPIEDADES que tienen esos seres u objetos. You also use nouns to reference properties that they have. la velocidad - the speed la belleza - the beauty Éstos últimos se llaman abstractos. La gran mayoría de los sustantivos abstractos derivan de verbos u adjetivos. These nouns are called abstract. Most of them comes from a verb o an adjetive. These are the words that refer to all individuals of the species. el río la casa hace referencia a cursos de agua, en cualquier lugar. 5 Los sustantivos comunes pueden ser: a) Individuales: cuando designan en singular o plural a un objeto o individuo cualquiera de la especie. when they appoint in singular or plural to an object or person any of the species. el río los ríos se refiere a un río en general. ( singular) ( One river in general) se refiere a varios ríos en general. ( plural) ( Some rivers in general) b) Colectivos: cuando designan en singular a un conjunto de objetos o individuos semejantes. la arboleda the grove when they designate in singular a similar set of objects or individuals. se refiere a un conjunto de árboles ( singular) a set of trees. el cardumen the shoal se refiere a un conjunto de peces.
