3 CARACTERÍSTICAS Multifuncional: Combina el tacómetro motor y el tacómetro láser en un solo instrumento. El tacómetro motor mide las revoluciones del motor en cables de alta tensión y el láser mide la r.p.m. de elementos rotatorios. Último valor max/min: El valor se almacena automáticamente en memoria y puede visualizarse en el display. El Micro-ordenador LSI-circuit y la base de cristal ofrecen mediciones de precisiones elevadas y tiempos de medición rápidos. Amplios rangos de medición y altas resoluciones. La visualización digital proporciona la lectura exacta sin errores. Sus componentes duraderos, junto con una ligera pero resistente carcasa, aseguran un mantenimiento sin desperfectos durante varios años. Su carcasa está cuidadosamente diseñada para un uso confortable del instrumento por parte del usuario. INSTRUCCIONES DEL TACÓMETRO MOTOR Posicionar el interruptor (7) en la función ENGINE. Una vez seleccionada dicha función, debe visualizarse en pantalla el tipo de motor seleccionado. Esta función se divide en dos partes: (cada parte dividida por los :) la parte de la izquierda son para dos ciclos de motor y la parte de la derecha son para cuatro ciclos de motor: 2 = 2-ciclos 2 X : 4 Y X = 2-cilíndricos ciclos 4 = 4-ciclos Y = 4 cilíndricos ciclos El tipo de motor puede ser reseleccionado apretando el botón de selección (6). Sencillamente acercar la antena exterior (8 o 9) al cable de alta tensión. Un indicador (3) se visualizará en pantalla para indicar que los pulsos de chispa del motor están siendo detectados correctamente. Cuando parpadea en intervalos fijos, se ha establecido la posición correctamente. Nota: Algunos motores pueden proporcionar chispas muertas resultando el doble del número de chispas usual. En tales casos, el valor del motor seleccionado debería establecerse al doble en condiciones normales.

4 Para diferentes tipos de motores, la intensidad de las chispas puede variar. Por favor, ajustar la resistencia de sensibilidad (10) para hacer que el tacómetro mida R.P.M. con precisión. INSTRUCCIONES DEL TACÓMETRO LÁSER Posicionar el interruptor en la posición PHOTO (7). Aplicar una marca reflectante en el objeto antes de empezar a medir. Presionar el botón de medidas para láser (5) y alinear el haz de luz (2) hacia el objetivo, verificando por medio del visualizador (3) que el objetivo está alineado con el haz (alrededor de 1 o 2 segundos). Consideraciones: Cortar y despegar la cinta adhesiva provista de cuadrados de aproximadamente 12 mm y pegar uno de ellos en el objeto rotatorio. El área no reflectante siempre tiene que ser más grande que el área reflectante. Si el haz es normalmente reflectante, debe estar cubierto con una tapa negra o pintada de negro antes de colocar la tapa reflectante. Dicha superficie tiene que estar limpia y lisa antes de poner la tapa reflectante. Como es fácil obtener altas resoluciones y rápidos tiempos de muestreo, para mediciones de R.P.M. bajas, se aconseja al usuario que coloque más marcas reflectantes a distancias iguales. Después, dividiendo la lectura visualizada según el número de marcas reflectantes, se obtiene el valor R.P.M. real. MEMORIA Una lectura (el último, máximo y mínimo valor medido) obtenida inmediatamente está automáticamente memorizada. Posicionar el interruptor de funciones en la posición MEMO. El valor memorizado debe visualizarse en el indicador tras pulsar el botón de selección (6). El símbolo UP representa el máximo valor, dn el mínimo valor, y LA el último valor medido. REEMPLAMIENTO DE LA BATERÍA Es necesario reemplazar la batería cuando su voltaje sea inferior a 4.8v, para lo cual el símbolo de la batería aparecerá visualizado en pantalla. Quitar la batería y reemplazarla por otra nueva. Instalarla correctamente en su compartimento.

The housing has been carefully shaped to fit comfortably in either hand. ENGINE TACHOMETER PROCEDURE Slide the function switch (7) to ENGINE position. The engine type selected will be displayed on the Display. The engine type consist of two parts, partitioned by a colon. The left part is for 2-cicle engines and the right part is for 4-cicle engines as follow. 2 = 2-cicle 2 X : 4 Y X = 2-cicle cylinders 4 = 4-cicle Y = 4 cicle cylinders The engine type can be re-selected by depressing the Selection button (6). Simply bring the detecting portion (8 or 9) close to the high-tension cords. An indicator (3) appears to indicate that the engine spark pulses are being detected properly. When it blinks at a fixed interval, the correct position has been established. Note: Some engines may have dead sparks resulting in twice the number of sparks as usual. In such cases, the engine type value selected should be set to two times the normal setting. For different types of engines, the intensity of spark signals may vary. Please adjust sensitivity (10) resistance to make the tachometer to measure the RPM accurately.

7 LASER TACHOMETER PROCEDURE Slide the function switch (7) to PHOTO position. Apply a reflective mark to the object being measured. Depress the Measure button (5) and align the visible Light beam (2) with the applied target, verify that the indicator (3) lights when the target aligns with the beam (about 1 to 2 seconds). Considerations: Cut and peel adhesive tape provided into approx 12mm squares and apply one square to ach rotation shaft. The non-reflective area must always be greater than the reflective area. If the shaft is normally reflective, it must be covered with black tape or black paint before attaching reflective tape. Shaft surface must be clean and smooth before applying reflective tape. As it is easy to get high resolution and fast sampling time, if measuring the very low RPM values, suggest the user to attach more REFLECTIVE MARKS averagely. Then divided the reading shown by the number of REFLECTIVE MARKS to get the real RPM. MEMORY A readout (the last value, max. Value, min. Value) obtained immediately is automatically memorized. Slide memorized value can be displayed on the indicator by turn once depressing the selection button (6). The symbol UP represents the max. value and dn the min.value; LA, the last value. BATTERY REPLACEMENT When it is necessary to replace the battery, i.e. battery voltage less than approx. 4.8v, a battery symbol will appear on the display. Slide the battery cover away from the instrument and remove the batteries. Install the batteries correctly into the case.
