The Spanish word for Christmas is Navidad (NAH VEE DAD) Imagine asking your father, "where did you put the nativity scene dad?" 2. The Spanish word for turkey is pavo (PAR VO) Imagine a turkey in a pavilion 3. The Spanish word for to spend (time) is pasar (PUS AHR) Just think, how you like to spend time is you pastime 4. The Spanish word for the tree is el arbol (AHR BOL) I don't like plastic trees, they should abolish plastic trees. 5. The Spanish for Christmas eve is Nochebuena (NOTCH AYE BWHEN A) We already know that noche is night Christmas eve is the noche when a fat man comes 6. The Spanish for the presents is los regalos (LOSS REH GAL OHS) I gotta regain control of my finances After buying all the presents 7. The Spanish for pudding is púdin (POO DIN) A nice easy one. 8. The Spanish for to celebrate is celebrar (SELL A BRA) Another easy one. 2
3 Spanish Speaking Hints In Spanish to make compound words with Christmas the structure is a little different, but easy. For example to say Christmas card you say Card of Christmas tarjeta de Navidad See if you can create the following Spanish 1. Christmas present 2. Christmas tree 3. Christmas decoracions 4.
