2 Presente Simple - (Simple Present Tense) El Presente Simple es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para describir acciones habituales que suceden con cierta frecuencia y no hace referencia a si está ocurriendo en el momento actual. I play tennis. Yo juego al tenis. (Hace mención de un deporte que yo realizo cotidianamente y que no necesariamente lo estoy jugando en este momento). Reglas ortográficas para la 3ª persona del singular Como regla general, a la forma verbal de la 3ª persona del singular se le añade s ; no obstante, existen unas cuantas reglas para una serie de formas verbales que son especiales: 1. Si el verbo termina ss, sh, ch, o, x, añadimos es, así: watch -> watches (mirar) dash -> dashes (arrojar) go -> goes (ir) do -> does (hacer) 2. Cuando el verbo acaba en y, y a ésta le precede una consonante, tenemos que cambiar la y por i, y a continuación añadir es: fly -> flies (volar) study -> studies (estudiar) Forma Negativa: Se forman con el auxiliar "do", habitualmente en sus formas contraídas: "don t" (= do not) para las personas "I, you, we, they". Para las terceras personas "he, she, it", se forman con el auxiliar "doesn t" (= does not). I don't play tennis. She doesn t go to the cinema We don t know the answer. Forma Interrogativa: La forma interrogativa se forma también con el auxiliar "do" al comienzo de la oración, para las personas (I, you, we, they) y con el auxiliar "does" para las terceras personas (he, she, it").
