1 THE PRESENT TENSE - WITH SPELLING CHANGES IN THE STEM These verbs use the same endings as other -AR, -ER, -IR verbs. The only difference is in the spelling changes in the stem. 3 Other verbs like decir: oír venir tener Ir This verb is conjugated like an -AR verb except in the "yo" form. Yo voy Tú vas El va Ella va Ud. va Nosotros vamos Vosotros vais Ellos van Ellas van Uds. van Other verbs that are similiar: Dar - is like an -ar verb except in the "yo" form (doy) Ver - is like an -er verb except in the "yo" form (veo) Saber and Caber Both verbs are irregular only in the "yo" form: Saber-Sé Caber - Quepo Conocer - verbs that end in -ocer, -ecer, -ucir have spelling changes in the "yo" form: The C changes to ZC in the "yo"form. Conocer conozco Conducir - conduzco Other similar verbs are: establecer desaparecer producir traducir *For verbs that end in a consonant + -cer (convencer, vencer), these verbs have a change from "C" to "Z" in the "yo" form only. 3

5 Verbs that end in -IAR, -UAR. These verbs take an accent on the í or the ú in all forms except nosotros and vosotros.
