1 Violations of Human Rights in Cuba April 2015 The following report compiles information of Cubans arbitrarily arrested and/or detained, harassed, attacked, and faced acts of repudiation* by the Cuban government in the month of April This information is based on the monthly report published by the Comisión Cubana de Derechos Humanos y Reconciliación Nacional (Cuban NGO specializing in Human Rights as well as other sources in the island). At least 310 arbitrary arrests for political reasons in April, Members of The Ladies in White among the most arrested. *Acts of Repudiation are physical and/or verbal aggression mobs organized by State Security (Cuba s political police). 1

Detained 5 hours by a Special Brigade unit for protesting against the illegal search of a dissident s home. His home was illegally searched and destroyed because of his position as dissident. Harassed by the political police and threatened with being arrested for organizing a fasting activity in solidarity with dissidents attending the Summit of the Americas. 18 Violations of Human Rights in Cuba May 2015 The following report compiles information of Cubans arbitrarily arrested and/or detained, harassed, attacked, and faced acts of repudiation* by the Cuban government in the month of May This information is based on the monthly report published by the Comisión Cubana de Derechos Humanos y Reconciliación Nacional (Cuban NGO specializing in Human Rights as well as other sources in the island). At least 640 arrests for political reasons in May. The highest number in the first 6 months of *Acts of Repudiation are physical and/or verbal aggression mobs organized by State Security (Cuba s political police). 1
