IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS Read and save these important safety instructions before using this fan, when using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: WARNING - To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use this product with any solid state speed control device. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock and injury to persons, do not use in a window. Use this fan only as described in this manual. Other uses not recommended may cause fire or electric shock. This product is intended for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY and not for commercial, industrial or outside use. To protect against electrical shock, do not place fan in a window, immerse unit, plug or cord in water, or spray with liquids. Unplug the fan from the outlet when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another and before cleaning. Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes. Do not place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance. Avoid contact with moving fan parts. To disconnect, grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. Never yank the cord. The use of attachments is not recommended and may cause hazards. Always use on a dry, level surface. Do not operate if the fan housing is removed or damaged. 2

4 Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over. The appliance is not to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. ASSEMBLY Take off the guard lock nut from motor shaft. Place the rear guard on the front of the motor housing. Line up the lugs on the front of the motor housing with the holes in the rear guard (Fig. 2) and make sure the rear grill is completely in the bottom. Screw the plastic nut tightly to attach rear guard. Place the fan blade on the motor shaft and secure it by tightening the spinner (Fig. 2) 3

5 Align the arrows on the front grill with the rear grill and secure the grills together with the clips (Fig. 3). WALL MOUNTING Locate and mark the position on the wall where the fan will be mounted (preferably at a wall stud). The fan is to be installed so that the blades are more than 2.3m above the floor. Leave approx. 5/8 (1.6cm) of the screw exposed. Line up the opening of the bracket of the fan with the screw. Insert the screw provided into the wall stud. HOW TO OPERATE Set the fan on a level and dry wall surface. Plug the power cord into the socket. Making sure the speed control is at OFF position. The speed of the fan can be selected by the pull string on the control panel. Off (0), Low (1), Med (2), High (3). Oscillating can be activated by pulling the cable downward. The fan can operate in a stationary position by gently pulling the cable again. 4

6 REMOVAL OF GRILL FOR CLEANING Be sure your fan is in the OFF position. Unplug the fan before cleaning. Use only a soft damp cloth to gently wipe the fan. DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to enter the Motor Housing. DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan. Remove the screw located in the grill of the fan. Unlatch the clips on the grill and remove the front grill carefully. Replace by placing the grill back and securing the latch. Secure the grill with the screw. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE To clean grill: Remove grill (see Removal of Grill for cleaning section) and dust, and wipe with a damp cloth. To clean blade: Wipe with a damp cloth. If your Fan is used in a greasy environment, mild soap may be necessary. Do not use solvents. To clean base: Wipe with a damp cloth. STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS The product must be packaged in its original box for storage. Place the fan in a storage room with low humidity. NOTE: If you experience a problem, please return the fan to the place of the original purchase or see your warranty. Do not attempt to open the motor housing yourself; doing so may void your warranty and cause damage to the fan or personal injury. 5

Deseche el ventilador o devuélvalo a un centro de servicio autorizado para su revisión y / o reparación. No pase el cable debajo de alfombras. No cubra el cable con tapetes, alfombras u otros tejidos similares. No pase el cable debajo de los muebles o electrodomésticos. Coloque el cable lejos de zonas transitadas y en donde nadie pueda tropezarse. Se requiere supervisión cuando cualquier aparato es utilizado por o cerca de niños. ENSAMBLAJE Retire la tuerca de seguridad del protector del eje del motor. Coloque la rejilla trasera en la parte de adelante de la estructura del motor. Alinee los seguros de la parte frontal de la estructura del motor con los orificios en la rejilla(fig. 2) y asegúrese de que la rejilla trasera está completamente hasta el fondo. Enrosque la tuerca de plástico herméticamente para sujetar la rejilla. 9

11 Coloque las aspas del ventilador en el eje del motor y asegúrela apretando la rosca (Fig. 2) Alinee las flechas en la rejilla delantera con la rejilla trasera y asegúrese que las rejillas estén juntas con los seguros (Fig. 3). MONTAJE DE PARED Localice y marque la posición en la pared donde va a montar el ventilador (preferiblemente en una pared con vigas). Instale el ventilador para que las aspas estén más de 2,3 m por encima del piso. Deje aproximadamente 5/8"(1.6 cm) del tornillo expuesto. Alineé la abertura del soporte del ventilador con el tornillo. Inserte el tornillo provisto en la viga de la pared. COMO OPERAR Coloque el ventilador sobre una superficie seca y nivelada. Enchufe el cable de alimentación en el tomacorriente. Asegúrese que el control de velocidad esté en la posición de apagado OFF". 10

13 INSTRUCCIONES DE ALMACENAMIENTO Este producto debe ser empacado en su caja original para su almacenaje. Coloque el ventilador en una habitación o depósito con baja humedad. NOTA: Si experimenta algún problema, por favor devuelva el ventilador al lugar original de compra o consulte la garantía. No intente abrir la estructura del motor, hacerlo puede cancelar su garantía y causar daños en el ventilador o lesiones personales.
