19 REPASO: ADJECTIVE AGREEMENT AND ADJECTIVES THAT END IN -DOR Do you notice the relationship between trabajador and trabajar? Between hablador and hablar? These are special adjectives because they come from verbs. They also have a special agreement pattern. Describe the pattern in English: Un chico es trabajador. Una chica es trabajadora. Unos chicos son trabajadores. Unas chicas son trabajadoras.

20 COMPARISONS IN SPANISH There are no endings -er or -est in Spanish. To make comparisons in Spanish, use these 3 phrases: Yo soy más alto que él. I am taller (more tall) than him. Yo soy menos alto que él. I am less tall than him. Yo soy tan alto como él. I am as tall as him. There are 2 pairs of exceptions to this rule: mejor better peor worse mayor older menor - younger
