3 Adjustable Shelf Pin Placement / Instalación Del Pasador Para Estante Ajustable / Mise En Place Du Support De Tablette Desired configuration may call for the use of additional adjustable shelves. These shelves will require drilling holes for adjustable shelf pins. Refer to the following instructions. Es posible que la configuración que desee necesite el uso de estantes ajustables adicionales. 4 DELUXE CLOSET SYSTEM ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Required Tools for Installation Step 1- Pre-Assembly 1. Choose your desired closet configuration from the options provided. 2. Draw your closet interior dimensions on the transparent grid overlay enclosed. 3. Place transparent grid over your desired configuration. READ IMPORTANT NOTES PENCIL TAPE MEASURE LEVEL SCREWDRIVER SAW SAW IMPORTANT Read Before Assembly Shelf lengths and Wardrobe Bars may need to be cut depending upon configuration desired. Please refer to Fig. 1.2 for recommended cut location. Step 2 - Top Shelf Location & Assembly 1. Using the height location measurements for the TOP (A) shelf, measure from the floor up and mark the top shelf location on the back closet wall. (Fig. 1.0) 2. Draw level line equal to shelf length for top shelf onto back closet wall (Fig. 1.1) (Shelving will cover lines drawn onto wall). All cut shelf lengths are used in closet configurations supplied Depending upon your closet dimensions, some cut lengths may not be usable. (Example: If you choose an 8ft. closet configuration and the width of your closet is 8ft. 4in., the cut shelf length will be short 4in. It is recommended that if your closet is over 8ft. (96 ) to choose a 10ft. configuration). (Example: If you choose an 8ft. closet configuration and the width of your closet is 7ft. 6in., some shelf lengths may need to be cut 6in. shorter in length to fit closet dimensions). FIG. 1.0 FIG Locate wall studs and mark location on lines. 4. Using the length measurements for the TOP (A) shelf obtained from your selected configuration (refer to selected configuration layout), measure and cut to length if required. (See Fig. 1.2 for recommended cut location). (Note:Cut at center of line during shelf cut. If cut location lands on a shelf slat, cut at the closest slat opening near line). 24 Cut Shelf lengths used in Adjustable Shelf Tower require holes drilled for pin insertion. Use supplied template for hole size and location. VERIFY SHELF MEASUREMENTS MEASURE - MARK - MEASURE AGAIN. Chosen configuration may not require use of all hardware or components supplied. It is recommended to secure hardware into wall studs for overall strength and stability of closet system. If choosing a custom designed configuration, it is recommended to draw design first on transparent grid supplied. If choosing a custom designed configuration, modifications to the instructions provided will be necessary. 1 FIG. 1.2 NOTE: For shelving strength and stability it is recommended to install hooks into wall studs (Typically 16 inches on center). 5. L-Hooks are placed 3 from each shelf end location and every wall stud in between (Typically 16 inches on center). Use supplied plastic wall anchors if no stud is present.(note: Do not place L-Hook at location 25 1/4 from shelf end not attached to wall. Tower vertical will be placed at that location during step 3.) 6. Center the top screw hole on L-Hook with level line on wall and attach

5 L-Hooks to wall using #8 1-1/2 screws (Fig. 1.3). LEVEL LINE X FIG. 2.0 FIG. 2.1 FIG. 1.3 X 4. Mark a plum (vertical Level) line on the wall. (Fig. 2.2) 5. Mark the line at 4, 35 and 67.5 down from the bottom of the top shelf. (Fig. 2.3) 7. Place TOP (A) shelf onto L-Hooks and position Shelf End Bracket onto front shelf end at closet side wall location (Fig. 1.4) 8. Level shelf (front to back - Fig. 1.5) FIG. 2.2 FIG Measure towards fixed wall end of shelf 25 1/4. Then in a level plane mark the 3 locations. (Fig. 2.4) FIG. 1.4 FIG Mark a level line on the wall at the bottom and side of End Bracket (Fig. 1.6). 10. Remove shelf and place bracket on lines drawn to mark screw hole location. Attach bracket using #8 1 screws (Fig. 1.7). Use supplied plastic wall anchors if no stud is present. CRITICAL DIMENSION /4 7. Mark a second line on the wall parallel to the first line. (Fig. 2.5) FIG. 1.6 FIG Place shelf onto L-Hooks and Shelf End Bracket. 12. Secure shelf to all L-Hooks using #4 1/2 screws (Fig. 1.8) FIG. 2.4 FIG Using the marked locations on vertical lines, select Tower Bracket and center the middle hole at location, level bracket and mark hole positions. (Fig. 2.6) 9. Install Tower bracket using #8 1 1/2 screw. Use supplied plastic wall anchors if no stud is available (Fig. 2.6) 10. Repeat for each location. FIG. 1.8 Step 3 - Adjustable Shelf Tower Location & Bracket Assembly NOTE: Correct Tower Bracket installation is critical to function of adjustable shelves and secure shelf placement 1. Using the top shelf end opposite wall side, locate the last shelf slat. 2. Mark a line on the wall at the center of the last slat location. (Fig. 2.0) 3. Measure down 72 and mark location on the wall. (Fig 2.1) FIG

6 Step 4 - Adjustable Shelf Tower Assembly 1. Select (B) Tower sides and position across from one another with grooves facing inward (Notched end is top of Tower side) (Fig. 3.0) 2. Install cam bolt into locations at bottom of Tower sides until snug. (Fig 3.1) 9. Secure Vertical Clips to Tower using #6 3/4 screws into the side and #4 1/2 screw into the top (Fig. 3.8) FIG. 3.8 FIG. 3.0 FIG Select (C) shelf and insert cam nuts at location (Fig. 3.2) 4. Secure (C) shelf to tower sides with cam nuts facing the floor. (Fig. 3.3) Step 5 Secondary Shelf Position & Assembly 1. Using the height location measurements for the LOWER (D) shelves on grid, measure from the top shelf down and mark all lower shelf locations on theback closet wall (Fig. 4.0). 2. Draw level line equal to shelf length for all LOWER (D) shelves onto back closet wall (Fig. 4.1). FIG. 3.2 FIG Position Tower into Tower Bracket locations on wall. (Fig. 3.4) 6. Fit upper Tower notches snug and level between bottom side of top shelf (Fig.3.5) FIG. 4.0 FIG Locate wall studs and mark location on lines. 4. Using the length measurements for the LOWER (D) shelves obtained from your selected configuration (refer to selected configuration layout), measure and cut to length if required. FIG. 3.4 FIG Secure Tower onto Tower Brackets using #6 3/4 screws (Fig. 3.6) 8. Place Vertical Clips onto Top Shelf slats at Tower location (Fig. 3.7) 5. Center the top screw hole on L-Hook with level line on wall and attach L-Hooks to wall using #8 1-1/2 screws (Fig. 4.2). 7. 7 8. Level shelf (front to back - Fig. 4.4) 9. Mark a level line on the wall and Tower Side at the bottom and side of End Bracket (Fig. 4.5). FIG. 6.0 FIG. 6.1 FIG. 4.4 FIG Remove shelf and place bracket on lines drawn to mark screw hole location. Attach bracket using #8 1 screws for wall locations and #6 1/4 screws for tower side locations. (Fig. 4.6). Use supplied plastic wall anchors if no stud is present at wall location. 11. Place shelf onto L-Hooks and Shelf End Bracket. 12. Secure shelf to all L-Hooks using #4 1/2 screws (Fig. 4.7) Step 8 Garment Bar Assembly 1. Using the length measurements for the (F) Garment Bars obtained from your selected configuration (refer to selected configuration layout), measure and cut to length if required. 2. Select Garment Bar End Cap and Screw insert Nut onto Bar End (Fig. 7.0) 3. Insert Bar End with Insert Nut into Garment Bar 4. Screw Bar End until snug on Garment Bar. 5. Place Garment Bar at location. 6. Secure Garment Bar to J-Hook Using #6 1 1/4 self drilling screw. (Fig. 7.1) For best results use a power drill. FIG. 4.6 FIG. 4.7 Step 6 J-Hook Assembly FIG. 7.0 FIG Measure 3 back from front of Angle Bracket mark location on side of Angle Bracket (Fig. 5.0) 2. Place J-Hook onto Angle Bracket with the front positioned at the marked location. 3. Secure J-Hook using #8 1 screws (Fig. 5.1) Step 9 Tower Shelf Assembly 1. Insert pins into locations on (G) shelves. (Fig. 8.0) 2. For (G) shelves obtained from cut lengths, use drilling instructions provided. (See Adjustable Shelf Pin Placement Instructions located on parts page.) 4. Insert pins into hole locations. 3. Place (G) shelves at desired locations in Shelf Tower (Fig. 8.1) FIG. 5.0 FIG. 5.1 Step 7 Angle Bracket Assembly 1. Select Angle brackets for placement at locations. Place Angle brackets 6 in from shelf ends. (refer to selected configuration layout for location). 2. Place angle bracket square with shelf underside and back wall. Mark hole location and mark line at the bottom of Angle Bracket against wall (Fig. 6.0). 3. Install angle bracket using #8 3 screw. Use supplied plastic wall anchors if no stud is available (Fig. 6.1). Step 10 Finishing FIG. 8.0 FIG Insert Angle Bracket button caps into screw holes and use provided touch-up paint to finish any scratches incurred during installation. 4
