You will see a list of links at the bottom, including:!!! Acceso a Sede Electrónica. Ayudas Ramón y Cajal! This is the main one. It takes you to the online application form! Memoria de la trayectoria investigadora y la línea de investigación principal que ha desarrollado (doc 61.0 KB)! (Summary of the research career of the candidate and the main research lines that he/she has carried out)! Curriculum Vitae Normalizado (CVN)! This one takes you to the online application to make your Standard CV (CVN). You will need to go through this too. The rest of the links are informative.they are there to help you filling out certain standard codes for the application form or the CVN.!

4 Now you are inside, seeing this If everything is all right, click on Guardar at the bottom, if not click on Revisar In general, the different pages to fill out can be accessed by the links on the upper left margin. On the top margin you have links to check errors, to generate a draft of the application, or to do the final submission. You also have the item Salir which you have to use to get out of the application (never use the back button on the web browser). Remember to click Guardar (at the bottom) any time you want typed data to remain registered. Otherwise you lose them when changing page or going out of the application.

5 Now, on the left margin, go to Otros Datos where you are asked to fill out data regarding your PhD. Whether you did it in a foreign University (answer is likely yes=si), date of PhD defense, whether you are asking for a JdC position (answer is NO) and if you are a handicapped person. This is an example Next stop is Datos de la Solicitud on the left margin. You must fill in some standard fields and a brief CV. I have made the choices for you...

6 Almost there. Now you click on Añadir Documentos on the upper left margin. This takes you to a page which you can use to upload the documents. You do that by clicking Añadir and then selecting the type of document from the menu, then clicking Examinar to locate it in your computer and finally Guardar to upload. Remember that only pdf files under 4 MB are accepted. You will need to upload 4 files: The standard CV (CVN) (more about this next page) The PhD certificate The previous file with the summary of your research career (in pdf) and A scanned pdf copy of your Passport. After this, you can check if there are any mistakes by clicking on Guia de Errores in the top margin, print a draft on Borrador and finally submitting the application in Generar Definitiva You finally get a pdf looking like the document in the next page. This you have to sign and submit via AN SPANISH CONSULATE nearest to you... simple ;-) Just donʼt forget to stop at the complaints and suggestions box, which is in one of the first pages you have visited, and use it to COMPLAIN heavily!

8 CVN The CV has to be presented in a standard form, which is also generated online. First, you go to Curriculum Vitae Normalizado (CVN) Despite appearances, switching to English here is not buying much... You have to go to Editor CVN in the top margin, and you land in where you can follow in English... reasonably well. You must register with your and a new password (careful with the constraints, 8 characters with 2 numbers and 2 special characters among them, etc) Then you can enter the editor and prepare your CV. When you are done, you can generate the pdf and upload it in your application.
