Religious Education In 6 short weeks Religious Education classes will start. I am looking for catechists, assistant catechists, and hallway monitors to help our children grow in their faith. We offer classes Monday 5:30-6:30pm, Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm, Wednesday 6:30-7:30pm and Saturday 1-2p.m. Please consider sharing your love of the Catholic faith with the children of our parish. This is a wonderful opportunity for young men and women to renew their baptismal promises and to give thanks to God for the gift of life, family, and community. The requirements for participants are as follows: The participant must be baptized and have received the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion OR currently be preparing for the reception of the sacraments. The family must be registered members of Holy Cross Church. The participant must be registered and attending the Holy Cross youth ministry program currently and in the prior year to their Quince Años celebration. Participants must also go through a special preparation program prior to the Quince Años. Please call the church office to get the dates for the preparation program for the Quince Años. **Parents/Godparents/Guardians must attend the first session with the participant.** Upon completion of the first session, the Quince Años Mass date and time may be scheduled with Father Holmberg by calling the church office ( ). The fourth session will be with Deacon Simon Torrez. Participants must be registered in the Quince Años Program prior to the first session. The fee is $150, due at registration. La cuarta sesión consiste en reunirse con el Diácono Simon Torrez. Food Pantry / Despensa de Comida Food Pantry is open every other Tuesday of the month from 1:00 3:00 p.m. Items most needed at this time include: spaghetti sauce, tuna, canned fruit, and dry pinto beans. Prishioners are encouraged to bring their donated items and deposit them in the two large bascket at the entrance of the Church and at Purefoy Elementary.
