1 SÉPTIMO PROGRAMA MARCO: ESPACIO NEWSLETTER CDTI de diciembre de INFORMACIÓN SOBRE 6ªCONVOCATORIA 1) 300 propuestas presentadas a la última convocatoria de FP7-Space, cerrada el 21 de noviembre La Comisión Europea ha informado a las delegaciones sobre el número total de propuestas, 300, que se han presentado a la sexta y última convocatoria de FP7-Space, que cerró el 21 de noviembre. Aún es necesario realizar el elegibility check y analizar si se han asignado correctamente a los topics, por lo que la información dada en la siguiente tabla es aún preliminar, pero por su interés se comunica a los interesados. Se llama la atención sobre esta convocatoria en esta Newsletter porque estas ayudas persiguen de manera destacada el objetivo de promover la interacción de las Plataformas Tecnológicas Españolas con el Programa Marco de la Unión Europea. Esto puede resultar de especial interés para el trabajo preparatorio para los Strategic Research Clusters que la Comisión está proponiendo en Horizon Space. 3 2) Programa de CAPACITACIÓN (INNVOLUCRA) Nuevo periodo para estancias temporales en SOST-BRUSELAS OCTAVO PERIODO: Del 31 de enero al 15 de marzo de El plazo límite de entrega de solicitudes para dicho periodo es el 03 de enero de 2013 a las 24h00. Con esta medida se quiere proporcionar formación teórica y práctica al personal de las entidades que apoyan la participación de las empresas españolas en propuestas internacionales dentro del VII Programa Marco. En este programa se incluye formación teórica y la posibilidad de la realización de estancias temporales en la oficina del CDTI en Bruselas, SOST. Las estancias se estructurarán en hasta cuatro estancias, con un máximo de 6 asistentes. EVENTOS 1) 5 th annual Conference on EU Space Policy- Brussels /1/13 This 2013 conference offers a perfect opportunity for policy-makers, business leaders, scientists and representatives of civil society: 1. to stay informed regarding expected developments on EU space policy, directly with European decision-makers, 3

4 2. to get the latest picture of the state of the inter-institutional negotiations on the EU s Multiannual Financial Framework ( ) and on the European public financing perspectives of planned or existing programmes, as well as of R&D&I in fields linked to space, 3. to learn about the EU s intentions in terms of the governance of space projects and the allocation of responsibilities among the various institutional actors, 4. to take stock of the current state of the two large-scale programmes in development, Galileo and GMES, directly from those in charge of them, 5. to learn about the advances that are envisaged in other sectors such as extra-atmospheric space security and space exploration and exploitation, 6. and also to express their expectations, and to inform, persuade and influence decision-makers, business leaders and potential users as to the technological, industrial, economic and social opportunities offered by space resources Conference website: 2) Horizon 2020 Workshops on Space Research and Technology Development Brussels 30-31/1/13 and Madrid 18-19/2/13 I am pleased to announce the Horizon 2020 Workshops on Space Research and Technology Development (RTD), organised by the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry. These events are being held, so as to consult a representative cross-section of the European Space Research community on Space RTD areas that are of potential interest in the next framework programme. The first workshop is on Space Technology (Brussels, January 2013) and the second is on Space Science and Exploration (Madrid, February 2013). To ensure a balanced participation, and given the limited number of places available, a selection may have to be made by the European Commission amongst those expressing an interest in contributing to this debate. These workshops constitute an additional stage to the consultation process that started with the "Hearing on Space Research in FP8" and that has continued with the recent recommendations issued by the FP7 Space Advisory Group. Since then, we have been involved in a continuous process of meeting with the major European Space representatives (Academia, Industry and Space Research Institutions). 4

5 The purpose of these workshops is to directly consult the Space Research community, so as to gather their input on the Commission's proposal for Space Research under Horizon 2020 and the corresponding implementation strategy.
