1 Getting Started Prior to today, your Garmin Vivofit 3 has been connected to an address affiliated to the research initiatives. Now it is time to change the to your personal address so that you may get the most out of your activity tracker. Please follow the instructions below to set up your address and to download the free Garmin Connect App, so that you may pair it with your smartphone. Click on the following link to set up your address, but keep this webpage open, so that you can return here for further instructions: Select to Create new and enter your information. Confirm that you have read the conditions and are at least 16 years old. Next select the functions that interest you to monitor on the vivofit 3. 3 Setting up your Garmin on your smartphone The following set of images are the screens you will see on your smartphone. Please follow these steps to properly set up your Garmin Vivofit 3. 5 1. When you look at the Garmin, you will see the HOME screen (most Garmin will show the Time). You might also see the DATE screen. And if press it again, you will see the Step count screen (looks like little feet with a number on top). Press the Garmin button again to change the screen until you get to HOME/TIME screen. 2. Once you see the TIME, hold the button on the Garmin down so that the red bar on time starts moving, and the icon on the Garmin screen changes. The First screen will be START. Do not let go yet! 3. The Second screen will be SYNC. Do not let go yet! 1. Cuando mires el Garmin, verás la pantalla de INICIO (la mayoría de Garmin mostrará la Hora). También puede ver la pantalla FECHA. 6 4. The Third screen is PAIR. Release the Garmin button once you reach the screen that says PAIR. When you let go at PAIR, you will see a Wireless icon with the word PAIR, switching screens with a 4-digit number. The first image (to the right) is the PAIR screen, the second image (to the right) is what you see when you let go at PAIR. 4. La tercera pantalla es PAIR. 10 While you are syncing on the Garmin, you will see this screen on your smartphone. Mientras se sincroniza en Garmin, verá esta pantalla en su smartphone. If you click on your phone or Garmin, it will not be synced correctly, and you will need to do this again in order to properly activate your Garmin.
