1 PLAN DE ESTUDIOS Español 1 SEMANA 11 (WEEK 11) (del 21 de marzo al 25 de marzo) Día 1 LECCIÓN: Content Objective(s): Students will be able to demonstrate comprehension of Spanish vocab. 2. Language objective(s): Students will identify main events in a Spanish story and respond to questions in Spanish, and write about the story using pictures T-Chart. By the end of class, I will be able to (5 min.) 2. Activity 2: Warm up. Quiz Veinticinco Have students number 1-10 and match the Spanish with the English vocab. Set timer for 3 minutes and give more time in small increments if needed. Go over the answers and have students grade their own (10 min.) 3. Activity 3: TPR Review. Go back through the list of target vocab. from Lesson 25 and review with TPR. (10 min) 4. Activity 4: Tell story. Tell Los zapatos especiales with student actors (20 min) 5. Activity 5: Q & A. Ask the whole class questions in Spanish about the story, re-working all the vocab. Then go back through the story again with a quick verbal Fill in the Blank in Spanish (10 min) 6. Activity 6: Students will write about the story using pictures from the story as a whole class. Each group will retell the main events of the story and teacher and student will write the story as a whole class (25 min) 7. 3 Día 2 LECCIÓN: Content Objective(s): Students will be able to demonstrate comprehension of Spanish vocab. 2. Language objective(s): Students will read a story in Spanish, identify Spanish subject pronouns, create dictionary pages of Spanish vocab. T-Chart. By the end of class, I will be able to (10 min.) 2. Activity 2: Read a story. Divide into partners. Pass out copies of Mis zapatos especiales. Students will read quietly underlining unknown words and circling first person sing. verbs. Give each partner 1 minute to read as much as they can (translating out loud in English.) Continue switching between partners until everyone has read the whole story. Go over the story, discussing 1 st person singular verbs. (30 min) 3. Activity 3: Identify subject pronouns in Spanish. Write the subject pronouns on the board and discuss. Pass out a Pronombres sheet to each student. Give 30 seconds on the timer for them to do each line, writing the subject pronoun in Spanish below the picture. Go over as a class and write possible answers on the transparency. Students place in portfolio as a reference (15 min) 4. Activity 4: Diccionario pgs. 32 & 33. Pass out a blank dictionary page to each student. Model writing definitions, etc. on the transparency. Check and assign points (25 min) 5. Activity 5: Exit ticket-students will rate their learning on a scale of 1-4 and translate one sentence from today s story (5 min) 1. El fútbol Soccer 2. El fútbol americano Football 3.
