2 Weekend Detours: What You Need to Know Desvíos de fin de semana: lo que necesita saber Financial District Weekend Street Closures Flower St closed between 5th St and Wilshire Bl Friday nights through Monday mornings; July 6, 2018 through October 22, Metro is building the Regional Connector Transit Project s connection to the 7th St/Metro Center Station. In coordination with other activities along Flower St, weekend closures will allow for cut and cover construction to continue on Flower St. During the closures, crews will install concrete deck panels that will serve as a temporary roadway while excavation and underground work progresses. Full weekend closure of Flower St, between 5th St and Wilshire Bl are in effect for 14 weekends (excluding holidays) in downtown Los Angeles. Once decking is complete, thru-access will be maintained and construction activities will take place underground and behind barriers in the next phase of construction, also known as steady state. Plan ahead and use alternate routes when traveling to downtown Los Angeles. When completed in 2021, the Regional Connector will allow for continuous travel from Azusa to Long Beach and from East LA to Santa Monica, with no transfers needed.
