2 The City of Los Angeles will present the 21st Annual LA Marathon on Sunday, March 19, Thousands of runners, bicyclists and spectators will attend. The 26- mile course runs throughout the central city area. As a result, Metro Bus service will be interrupted in Downtown Los Angeles, Mid-City, USC/Exposition Park, West Adams, Baldwin Hills, Fairfax District, Hancock Park, Mid-Wilshire and Koreatown. The information and map in this brochure list the Metro Bus lines affected. It is subject to change without notice; there may be additional delays and route changes as conditions warrant. Weather permitting, signs will be posted at every affected bus stop showing the nearest boarding location. All Metro Rail lines will run as scheduled without interruption. Spectators and participants are urged to take Metro Rail to and from one of the nearby stations along the route. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience on this day and thank you for your cooperation. For further assistance, please call COMMUTE. Listed below are the Metro Bus lines and the streets where there will be no service on Sunday, March 19, 2006 before, during and after the running of the Marathon. All affected stops will show nearest boarding locations. Regular service is expected to be restored by approximately mid to late-afternoon depending on the location.
