4 CONEXIÓN ELÉCTRICA Antes de encender la unidad, asegúrese de que el selector de voltaje esté en la posición que coincida con el voltaje del área donde la va a conectar. Conecte el cable de poder al tomacorriente y encienda la unidad. Desconecte el cable de poder cuando no esté utilizando la unidad. No conecte ni desconecte el cable de poder con las manos mojadas. Desconecte el cable de poder del enchufe mas no del cable. BATERÍAS Desconecte el cable de poder para utilizar la unidad con baterías. Ahora el compartimiento de baterías e introduzca 6 baterías tamaño C teniendo en cuenta la polaridad. INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN ENCENDER Presione el botón Encender/Fuente para encender la unidad. RADIO Presione el botón Encender/Fuente para seleccionar AM o FM. Utilice los botones Sintonizar+/Sintonizar- para buscar las estaciones radiales. Utilice los botones de Volumen para ajustar el volumen que desee. ANTENA Para una mejor recepción de la señal FM, extienda completamente la antena. Para la recepción de la señal AM la unidad cuenta con una antena incorporada. Para mejorar la señal, tal vez sea necesario mover la unidad hasta encontrar la mejor recepción. GUARDAR ESTACIONES RADIALES EN LA MEMORIA 1. Sintonice la estación radial que desea guardar. 2. Presione el botón Modo/Memoria/Programación. La pantalla mostrará el mensaje PXX y parpadeará. Las XX significan el siguiente número de estación radial. 3. Presione los botones Sintonización+/Sintonización- para elegir el número donde desea guardar la estación. 4. Presione el botón Modo de nuevo para guardar la estación en la memoria. 5. Repita los pasos 1 a 3 para guardar más estaciones. 6. La unidad permite un máximo de 10 estaciones en AM y 20 en FM. 7. Para elegir una estación radial que se ha guardado, presione el botón M+/Detener. P-3

5 OPERACIÓN DEL CD Presione el botón Encender/Fuente para seleccionar el modo de CD. Introduzca un CD en el compartimiento y cierre la tapa. La unidad comenzará a leer el disco. Mostrará el número total de pistas de todo el disco y luego comenzará a reproducir la primera pista. Utilice los botones Anterior/Siguiente para moverse a través de las pistas. Durante la reproducción, utilice el botón Play/Pausa para pausar la reproducción de manera temporal. Para reanudarla, presione de nuevo este botón. Presione Detener para detener la reproducción por completo. DISCO MP3 Presione el botón Encender/Fuente para seleccionar el modo de CD. Introduzca un CD en el compartimiento y cierre la tapa. La unidad comenzará a leer el disco. Mostrará el número total de pistas de todo el disco y luego comenzará a reproducir la primera pista. Si el disco MP3 tiene carpetas, presione y mantenga el botón Modo. La pantalla mostrará el mensaje FXX, y las XX significan el número de la carpeta. Utilice los botones Anterior/Siguiente para seleccionar la carpeta. Utilice los botones Anterior/Siguiente para moverse a través de las pistas. Durante la reproducción, utilice el botón Play/Pausa para pausar la reproducción de manera temporal. Para reanudarla, presione de nuevo este botón. Presione Detener para detener la reproducción por completo. REPRODUCCIÓN DE ARCHIVOS MP3 DESDE USB Presione el botón Encender/Fuente para seleccionar el modo USB. Conecte el dispositivo USB en el puerto. La unidad comenzará a leer la USB. Mostrará el número total de pistas del dispositivo y luego comenzará a reproducir la primera pista. Si el dispositivo USB tiene carpetas, presione y mantenga el botón Modo. La pantalla mostrará el mensaje FXX, y las XX significan el número de la carpeta. Utilice los botones Anterior/Siguiente para seleccionar la carpeta. Utilice los botones Anterior/Siguiente para moverse a través de las pistas. Durante la reproducción, utilice el botón Play/Pausa para pausar la reproducción de manera temporal. Para reanudarla, presione de nuevo este botón. Presione Detener para detener la reproducción por completo. La unidad soporta dispositivos USB de máximo 32GB. FUNCIÓN DE REPETIR Presione el botón Modo//Memoria para seleccionar los diferentes tipos de repetición. CD: Repetir Uno, Repetir Todos, Normal MP3: Repetir Uno, Repetir Carpeta, Repetir Todos, Normal FUNCIÓN DE PROGRAMACIÓN La programación siempre debe hacerse en modo detenido. 1. Presione el botón Modo. La unidad mostrará el mensaje P Utilice los botones Anterior/Siguiente para seleccionar la pista que desee. 3. Presione el botón Modo de nuevo para guardar la pista en la memoria. La pantalla mostrará el mensaje P02. P-4

6 4. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para guardar más pistas en la memoria. Para CDs de audio, usted puede guardar hasta 20 pistas en la memoria y para discos de MP3, puede guardar hasta 99 pistas. 5. Para detener la reproducción presione el botón Detener. 6. Para cancelar la lista de programación presione el botón Detener y ahora es compartimiento de CD o presione el botón Encender/Fuente para seleccionar otro modo. CONEXIÓN AUXILIAR/MP3 1. Conecte un extremo del cable de audio de 3.5 mm (no suministrado con la unidad) en la salida del dispositivo externo o reproductor MP3, y el otro extremo en la entrada de audio de la unidad. 2. Presione el botón Encender/Fuente y seleccione el modo Auxiliar. 3. Encienda el reproductor MP3 o dispositivo externo y utilícelo normalmente. El audio se escuchará en los parlantes de la unidad. 4. Para terminar, apague el reproductor MP3 y desconecte el cable. Nota La reproducción de los archivos MP3 y la calidad de sonido dependen naturalmente de la calidad original de dichos archivos. CONTROL REMOTO Antes de comenzar a utilizar el control remoto, retire la tira plástica ubicada en el compartimiento de la batería para permitir que la batería esté en contacto con la terminal. Al usar el control remoto, apúntelo al sensor remoto de la unidad. Las funciones en el control remoto son las mismas que en la unidad. 1. Silenciador 2. Fuente 3. Siguiente/Sintonización+ 4. 7 CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO Apague la unidad después de utilizarla. Mantenga la unidad lejos de objetos magnéticos, agua o fuentes de calor. Utilice una prenda suave humedecida con agua tibia para limpiar la parte exterior. No utilice limpiadores químicos ya que pueden dañar el acabado. No toque el lente de lectura de discos. En caso de que alguna huella digital quede sobre el lente, límpielo suavemente con un producto comercial para lentes. Desconecte el cable de poder antes de llevar a cabo la limpieza. Para retirar un disco de su caja, presione el centro de la caja y levante el disco sosteniéndolo con los dedos por los bordes. Evite que los discos queden marcados con las huellas digitales, al igual que se llenen de polvo. Utilice productos comerciales diseñados para discos compactos. Limpie del centro hacia afuera del disco. Guarde los discos en su caja al terminar de usarlos para evitar que se rayen. No coloque ninguna etiqueta sobre el disco ni escriba en él. No exponga la unidad a altas temperaturas. No intente reparar la unidad usted mismo. Remita toda revisión, mantenimiento y reparación a personal de servicio técnico calificado. 12 CONNECTING TO POWER Before switching on the unit, please make sure that the VOLTAGE selector is set to the voltage of your area. Connecting the unit to other power sources may damage the unit. AC Power Operation Connect the AC Power Cord to your AC household mains outlet and switch on the mains supply. Make sure the voltage is compatible. Disconnect the power cord form the mains when not in use. ATTENTION 1. Do not plug or unplug the power cable while you have wet hands. 2. When planning not to use this unit for a long time, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. 3. When disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet, do not pull on the cord in order to avoid shock risks caused by damaged cable. BATTERY OPERATION Disconnect the AC cord set completely. Open the battery compartment door and insert 6 pieces UM-2 "C" size batteries into the battery compartment with battery polarity as shown inside the battery compartment. TURN ON THE UNIT Press the SOURCE button to turn on the unit RADIO OPERATION 1. Press the SOURCE button to select AM or FM mode. 2. Press and hold the SKIP/TUN< or SKIP/TUN> button for approximate 1 second, it will start to search the next radio station in the direction of the search. The search operation simply finds stations with strong signals. Stations with weak signal can only be tuned in manually. 3. Use the VOLUME+ or VOLUME button to adjust the volume to the desired listening level. ANTENNA For best reception, fully extend the FM Antenna to receive FM stations. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in antenna, turn the whole unit for best reception. For AM reception the signals are picked up through a built-in ferrite antenna. You may have to orient the unit to obtain the best reception. SAVING RADIO STATIONS IN THE MEMORY 1. Tune to the desired stations. 2. Press the MODE/MEM/PROG button, the display will show PXX and flashing, where XX is the next memory station number. 3. Press the SKIP/TUN+ or SKIP/TUN button to select the station number. 4. Press the MODE/MEM/PROG button again to store the station in the memory. 5. Repeat step 1 to 3 to store more radio stations in the memory. 6. Up to maximum 10 AM and 20 FM radio stations can be stored in the memory. P-3

13 TO SELECT A STORED RADIO STATION IN THE MEMORY Press the M+/STOP button to skip to the next stored radio station. CD OPERATION Playing Audio CDs 1. Press the /SOURCE button to select CD mode. 2. Insert a CD disc in the CD compartment and close the CD door, the unit will start reading the disc, it will show the total number of tracks of the entire disc after reading and start playing the first track on the entire disc. 3. During playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to temporarily pause playing. To resume, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again. 4. Press the M+/STOP button to stop playing the CD Playing MP3 disc 1. Press the /SOURCE button to select CD mode. 2. Insert a MP3 disc in the CD compartment and close the CD door, the unit will start reading the disc, it will show the total number of MP3 files on the entire disc after reading and start playing the first MP3 files on the entire disc. 3. If your MP3 disc has folders, press and hold MODE/MEM/PROG button, the display will show FXX (where XX is the folder number), use the SKIP/TUN+ or SKIP/TUN button to select the desired folder. 4. During playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to temporarily pause playing. To resume, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again. 5. Press the M+/STOP button to stop playing the CD Playing MP3 files with USB device 1. Press the /SOURCE button to select USB mode. 2. Plug your USB device into the USB port on the unit, the unit will start reading the files in the USB device, it will show the total number of MP3 files on the USB device after reading and start playing the first track on the entire device. 3. If your USB device has folders, press and hold MODE/MEM/PROG button, the display will show FXX (where XX is the folder number), use the SKIP/TUN+ or SKIP/TUN button to select the desired folder. 4. During playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to temporarily pause playing. To resume, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again. 5. Press the M+/STOP button to stop playing the CD. the max. memory device of USB device which can be supported (32G) Skip Mode 1. During play or pause mode, press the SKIP/TUN+ button to go to the next track. 2. If the MP3 disc or storage device has folders, when the end of the folder is reached, press the SKIP/TUN+ button will go to the first MP3 file of the next folder. 3. While playing, press the SKIP/TUN button to go back to the beginning of the track. 4. While playing, press the SKIP/TUN button twice will go to the previous track. P-4

14 5. If the MP3 disc or storage device has folder, when reaching the beginning of the folder, press the SKIP/TUN button will go to the last file of the previous folder. Different Play Mode Press the MODE/MEM button to select different kinds of play mode with the following sequence. For CDA files : Repeat One Æ Repeat All Æ Normal For MP3 files : Repeat One Æ Repeat Folder Æ Repeat All Æ Normal Repeat 1 repeat the track being played. Repeat All repeat all the tracks in the storage device. Repeat Folder repeat the tracks in the entire album/folder. Normal play the tracks in sequence. Programming The programming should be done during STOP mode 1. Press the MODE/MEM/PROG button, the display will show P Use the SKIP/TUN+ or SKIP/TUN button to select the desired track. 3. Press the MODE/MEM/PROG button again to store the selected track in the memory, the display will show P Repeat steps 2 to 3 to store more tracks in the memory. For Audio CD, you can store up to 20 tracks in the memory and for MP3 disc files, you can store up to 99 tracks in the memory. 5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing the disc in the programmed order. 6. To stop playing, press the STOP/M+ Button. 7. To cancel the programming list, press the STOP/M+ button and open the CD compartment door or press the /SOURCE button to select a different mode. AUX/MP3-IN CONNECTION 1. Insert one side of the audio cable (requires 3.5mm stereo plug, not supplied) into the line-out jack or phones jack on your MP3 player and the other side to the aux-in jack on the unit. 2. Press the /SOURCE button to select AUX mode. 3. Turn on your MP3 player and follow the playback instruction. 4. To stop this function, simply turned off your MP3 player. Note: Because of non-standardized format definition/production of MP3 format, playback quality & performance are not guaranteed. Manufacturer is not responsible for the playability of MP3 in any case due to recording conditions such as PC performance, writing software, media ability and etc. P-5

15 REMOTE CONTROL Take off the plastic sheet located at the battery compartment tray to activate the remote control. Point the remote control at the remote sensor. The functions of the buttons on the remote control are same as the corresponding controls on the main unit. In radio mode, use this button to search the next radio station in forward direction. 4.!STOP in CD or USB mode, use this button to stop playing. 5. VOL use this button to decrease the volume. 6. PLAY/PAUSE in CD or USB mode, use this button to start playing or pause playing. 7. VOL+ use this button to increase the volume. 8. MODE use this button to select the repeat mode. 9. SKIP /TUN in CD or USB mode, use this button to go back to the previous track, in radio mode, use this button to search the next radio station in backward direction. 10. RANDOM in CD or USB mode, use this button to select random playback. 11. M in radio mode, use this button to skip to the next stored radio station in backward order. 12. MEM in radio mode, use this button to store the radio station in the memory. 13. M+ in radio mode, use this button to skip to the next stored radio station in forward order. 14. PROG in CD mode, use this button to program the playback order. 15. FOLDER in playback the MP3 files, use this button to skip back to the previous folder. 16. FOLDER+ in playback the MP3 files, use this button to skip to the next folder.

16 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Precautions Always turn off the unit after use. Keep the unit away from magnetic objects, water or heat sources. Use a clean soft cloth moistened with lukewarm water to clean the cabinet. Never use chemical cleaners that could damage the finish of the unit. Never touch the CD pickup and lens. If fingerprints get on the pickup lens, clean it gently with a commercial lens cleaner. Disconnect the unit from any power sources before cleaning. To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the centre of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges. Fingerprints and dust should be carefully wiped off the disc s recorded surface with a soft cloth. Unlike conventional records, compact discs have no grooves to collect dust and microscopic debris so gently wiping with a soft cloth should remove most particles. Wipe in a straight line from the inside to the outside of the disc. Small dust particles and light stains will have absolutely no effect on reproduction quality. Never use chemicals such as record sprays, anti-static sprays, benzene or thinners to clean compact discs. These chemicals can irreparably damage the disc s surface. Discs should be returned to their cases after use. This avoids serious scratches that could cause the Laser pickup to skip. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, or high temperatures for extended periods. Long exposure to high temperatures can warp the disc. Do not stick paper or write anything with a ballpoint pen on the label side of the disc.
