Líneas de actuación incluidas en la colaboración The objective of the Global Monitoring Plan (GMP) is to support the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Stockholm Convention in relation to environmental background levels. The Conference of the Parties has decided that the evaluation of air samples and levels in breast milk or human blood is first priority. The analysis of air monitoring will be conducted using passive air samplers (PAS) for sampling of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). 2
Líneas de actuación incluidas en la colaboración Inspecciones in situ: Evaluar y detectar las fortalezas y debilidades de los laboratorios que participan en la red de Monitoreo de COPs Realización Talleres: Entrenamiento y Capacidad in situ para complementar los conocimientos técnicos para el análisis de COPs en los laboratorios que forman parte de la red de Monitoreo Colaboración en el suministro de materiales y consumibles necesarios para poder llevar a cabo los análisis de COPs en los laboratorios que forman parte de la red de Monitoreo Complementar analíticamente aquellos aspectos que no pudieran ser abordados por los países participantes en el Proyecto por falta de recursos. 3
Líneas de actuación incluidas en la colaboración Muestras Leche Materna UNEP en colaboración con la OMS 12 COP en leche materna Análisis en el Laboratorio Estatal de Química y Veterinaria de Análisis de Alimentos (CVUA) en Freiburg, Alemania Los contenedores para el muestreo de la leche materna fueron enviados a través del CSIC mediante los contactos de este con otros organismos Europeos Ejercicio Intercalibración Matrices: Ceniza, Sedimento, Pescado y leche materna Analitos: Dioxinas y furanos, PCB tipo dioxina, PCB marcadores y Pesticidas Organoclorados 4
Líneas de actuación incluidas en la colaboración 1ª fase en el año 2009 Primer proyecto CUBA CSIC en colaboración con UNEP-Chemicals con fondos del Global Environment Facility (GEF) y del QSP (Quick Start Programme) del SAICM (Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management). Primer planteamiento Identificar y corregir de forma sostenible todas aquellas debilidades observadas en los laboratorios cubanos encargados de aportar datos sobre los COPs al GMP descrito en el Convenio de Estocolmo. 5

Realizar un taller sub-regional para estudiar detalladamente un plan de trabajo para la implantación del proyecto. Necesidad de desarrollar estrategias para futuras aportaciones al GMP para COPs. Redacción de protocolos y manuales para la captación de las muestras. Asignación de un responsable por país participante para: Captación de muestras de Aire Toma de muestra de leche materna POPs analisis (incluido la identificación de los lab. de POPs nacionales) Inspección NO FÍSICA de los laboratorios seleccionados para realizar el análisis de POPs. 9
Líneas de actuación incluidas en la colaboración Conclusiones Entrenamiento del personal encargado de realizar la red de captación de muestras de aire. Identificación de los puntos de captación de muestras de aire. Identificación de las posibles donantes de leche materna. Entrenamiento de los laboratorios nacionales encargados de realizar análisis de POPs a cargo de un laboratorio de un país desarrollado. Participación de los laboratorios participantes en el proyecto en ejercicios intercalibración de ámbito internacional. Organización de un taller final sub-regional para evaluar los resultados obtenidos en el proyecto, así como comunicar los resultados obtenidos y las experiencias aprendidas durante el proyecto. 10
