Avertissement Vérifier que la tension du réseau correspond bien à celle indiquée sur l appareil (courant alternatif seulement). Compte-tenu de la diversité des normes en vigueur, si l appareil est utilisé dans un autre pays que celui de l achat, le faire vérifier par une station service agréée. Cet appareil a été conçu pour un usage domestique uniquement, toute utilisation professionnelle, non appropriée ou non conforme au mode d emploi, n engage ni la responsabilité, ni la garantie du constructeur. Ne jamais laisser l appareil fonctionner sans surveillance. Ne pas laisser l appareil à la portée des enfants. Utiliser un plan de travail stable et à l abri des projections d eau. Ne pas placer l appareil à proximité d une source de chaleur. Ne jamais tenter de faire fonctionner le produit avec la cuve vide, ou sans cuve. Ne jamais retirer la cuve lorsque le produit est en fonctionnement. Ne jamais poser la cuve directement sur la flamme, ou une autre source de chaleur. La cuve et la plaque chauffante doivent être en contact direct. Tout objet intercalé entre ces deux éléments risquerait de provoquer une panne. Ne mettre ni liquide, ni aliments dans le produit lorsque la cuve n est pas mise en place. Respecter les niveaux conseillés par les recettes.

4 Lors de la mise en service d un appareil électrique chauffant, il se produit des températures élevées, qui peuvent occasionner des brûlures. Ne pas toucher les parties métalliques apparentes. Au cours de la cuisson, le produit émet de la chaleur et de la vapeur. Ne pas approcher votre main ou votre tête. Ne pas placer de torchon humide sur le couvercle extérieur. Ne pas plonger le corps de l appareil dans l eau, ne pas verser d eau à l intérieur. Ne pas laisser pendre le cordon. Toujours brancher l appareil sur une prise reliée à la terre. Ne pas débrancher l appareil en tirant sur le cordon. Débrancher l appareil s il présente des anomalies de fonctionnement après l utilisation ou avant chaque nettoyage ou entretien. S il arrivait que certaines parties du produit s enflamment, ne jamais tenter de les éteindre avec de l eau. Etouffer les flammes avec un linge humide. Ne jamais utiliser l appareil, si celui-ci ou son cordon connecteur amovible est défectueux, ou si I appareil est tombé et présente des détériorations visibles ou des anomalies de fonctionnement. Dans ces cas, I appareil doit être envoyé à la station-service agréée la plus proche de votre domicile. Si le câble d alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service après-vente ou une personne de qualification similaire afin d éviter tout danger. Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des personnes (y compris les enfants) dont les capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales sont réduites, ou des personnes dénuées d expérience ou de connaissance, sauf si elles ont pu bénéficier, par l intermédiaire d une personne responsable de leur sécurité, d une surveillance ou d instruction

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION Lire le mode d emploi et suivre attentivement les instructions d utilisation. Déballer l appareil Sortir l appareil de l emballage et déballez tous les accessoires. Enlever le couvercle. Sortir tous les documents imprimés. Retirer la cuve amovible. Nettoyer le couvercle et la cuve avec une éponge et un liquide vaisselle. Essuyez l extérieur de l appareil avec un linge humide. Sécher avec soin. UTILISATION DE L APPAREIL Cuisson du riz Avant de commencer la cuisson, lisez les indications données sur votre paquet de riz, par ex. laver le riz au préalable ou le faire gonfler. 1. Placez le récipient à riz dans l appareil 2. Faire tourner légèrement la cuve dans les deux sens, de manière à assurer un bon contact entre le fond de la cuve et la plaque chauffante.

6 3. Choisissez la quantité de riz désirée, entre 3 et 10 CUPs, grâce au verre mesureur et verser cette quantité dans le récipient. 4. Remplissez le récipient d eau jusqu à la graduation correspondante 5. Poser le couvercle sur l appareil 6. Vérifiez que l interrupteur se trouve la position WARM (garder au chaud) puis enfoncer le cordon connecteur amovible sur l appareil à fond puis brancher. Ne pas mettre l appareil sous tension tant que les étapes précédentes n ont pas été achevées. 7. La lampe témoin WARM s allume. 8. Appuyer sur l interrupteur. Le témoin lumineux WARM s éteint et COOK s allume. 9. Lorsque toute l eau s est évaporée, l appareil passe automatiquement sur la position WARM (garder au chaud) et arrête ainsi la cuisson. Le témoin lumineux COOK s éteint et WARM s allume. Conseil : laissez le riz encore 5 minutes dans l appareil avant de le sortir. 10. Arrêter maintenant l appareil en débranchant le câble d alimentation 11. Enlever le couvercle. Attention la vapeur qui s échappe est très chaude. 12. Servir avec la cuillère et remettre le couvercle en place. Attention : le récipient à riz est chaud. Pour la retirer, utiliser des gants de protection. Quelques conseils pour un meilleur résultat de la cuisson du riz : Mesurez le riz et lavez-le à l eau courante dans un récipient à part. Mettez ensuite le riz dans le bol avec la quantité d eau correspondante. Assurez-vous que le riz est bien réparti sur toute la surface de la cuve afin de permettre une cuisson homogène.

7 En fin de cuisson, quand la fonction «maintien au chaud» est déclenchée, remuez le riz et laissez-le dans le Cuiseur Automatique encore quelques minutes pour obtenir une cuisson parfaite. IMPORTANT: ne pas utiliser le récipient de cuisson pour laver le riz car cela risque d endommager la surface antiadhésive! Ne pas dépasser le niveau maximum indiqué. NETTOYAGE Utiliser de l eau chaude, du détergent liquide et une éponge. Les poudres à récurer et les éponges métalliques sont déconseillées. Si les aliments sont collés au fond, laisser tremper la cuve quelques temps avant de la laver. Sécher la cuve avec soins. Ne pas plonger le corps de l appareil dans l eau, ne pas verser d eau à l intérieur. Vous pouvez aussi nettoyer la cuve et le couvercle au lave-vaisselle. Pour la cuve, bien suivre les recommandations suivantes : Faire attention lors de la mise en place de ne pas blesser le revêtement intérieur avec les grilles du lave-vaisselle. Après plusieurs passages au lave-vaisselle, pour rénover le revêtement nous vous recommandons de passer un chiffon légèrement huilé sur toute la surface intérieure de la cuve. Bien remettre la cuve en place dans le Cuiseur automatique.

Intended use This appliance is intended exclusively for the preparation of cooked rice and is not intended for commercial use. Any other or additional use will be considered unintended use. Do not use outdoors. 9. The devices are not intended to be operated by an external timer or a remote control system. Use and operation Description This rice cooker provides a simple, trouble-free method for cooking perfectly rice. The warm-function automatically keeps the rice warm, fluffy and ready to serve for several hours. The large capacity of the rice cooker makes it possible to prepare rice economically for a family, for a party and for a bulk cooking for the freezer. Instructions for use NOTE: Wash the bowl, the lid the measuring cup and spatula in a warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

13 Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners on any part of the appliance. Never immerse the base in water or any other liquid. Before each use, make sure that the outside of the rice bowl is clean and dry and that the heat sensor in the centre, on the inside of the base, is clean, dry and cool. Handle the rice bowl carefully; scratching or denting the bowl may result in unsatisfactorily performance. How to cook the rice 1. Measure rice and water and place evenly into the rice bowl. See Rice cooking chart. Never put any liquid into the base. 2. Place the rice bowl into the base and make sure that the bowl is properly sat unto the base. Close by placing the lid. 3. Plug cord into a 230V AC outlet. Depress the switch and the red light will glow. The cook switch will not stay down unless the rice bowl is placed in the right way: this is a safety feature of this rice cooker. Wait 20 minutes for the rice to finish cooking. 4. When all the water has evaporated, the appliance automatically switches to the WARM position (keep warm) and thus stops the cooking. The COOK light goes off and WARM COOK lights. Tip: leave the rice for 5 minutes in the cooker before removing it. 5. Fluff the rice with the spatula. 6. Unplug the rice cooker before removing the lid and rice bowl from the base.

14 7. If the rice is to be kept warm, leave the rice cooker plugged-in and NOTE: reposition the lid after fluffing. 1. If using unwashed rice, a thin layer of starch may form at the bottom of the rice bowl: this is quite normal and can be mixed in with the rice when fluffing as it does not affect the taste or texture. 2. There are different opinions about whether the rice should be washed before cooking or not. Those in favour argue that this washes away the starch content and ensures non-sticky grains. Those against, feel valuable soluble vitamins and minerals are lost. Drier, fluffier rice is obtained by washing before cooking. 3. If other ingredients were added to the rice, the keep warm-cycle should be on for less than one hour to avoid loss of flavour. Rice cooking chart Use the standard measuring cup (provided). 15 1. After each use the rice bowl, the lid, the measuring cup and the spatula should be washed in warm, soapy water. Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads. Rinse and dry carefully. If rice has been cooked onto the bottom of the bowl, fill the bowl with hot, soapy water and let stand for about 10 minutes. Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth and dry. 2. To reduce the risk of electric shock only cook in the removable container. If water should accidentally enter the switch mechanism or spill onto the heating plate, carefully unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Allow to dry thoroughly before using the appliance again. Storage To store your appliance: 1. Switch off the appliance and unplug from the power outlet. 2. Allow the appliance to cool down completely. 3. Store on a flat, dry level surface. Disposal Discarded electric and electronic appliances often still contain valuable materials. However, they also contain dangerous materials they needed to work well and safely. If these appliances are mixed with regular domestic waste materials or are not properly handled, they can endanger human health and the environment. NOTE: Take old and broken electric and electronic appliances to the waste collection point in your area to have them recycled. You can contact your town hall, your waste collection company or the dealer where you bought the appliance for information.

De handleiding dient altijd bij het apparaat bewaard worden. Het is belangrijk dat iedereen die het apparaat bedient, herstelt en/of reinigt, de handleiding leest en de instructies daarin opvolgt. Neem de volgende veiligheidsvoorschriften in acht om gevaar door elektrische stroom te voorkomen: Gebruik het apparaat niet, wanneer de stroomkabel of stekker beschadigd is. Laat voor het verdere gebruik van het apparaat een nieuwe aansluitkabel door een geautoriseerde deskundige installeren.

19 Open in geen geval de behuizing van het apparaat. Wanneer onder spanning staande aansluitingen aangeraakt worden en de elektrische en mechanische opbouw gewijzigd wordt, heerst gevaar door elektrische schokken. Verbrandingsgevaar WAARSCHUWING Delen van het apparaat kunnen tijdens de werking erg heet worden! Neem de volgende veiligheidsinstructies in acht om uzelf en/of anderen niet te verbranden: Verplaats het apparaat niet terwijl het ingeschakeld is. Laat het apparaat voor het reinigen voldoende afkoelen. Algemene veiligheidsvoorschriften Neem voor een veilige omgang met het apparaat de volgende veiligheidsinstructies in acht: 1. Controleer het apparaat vóór gebruik op van buiten zichtbare schade aan de behuizing, de stroomkabel en de stekker. Gebruik een beschadigd apparaat niet. 2. Verzeker uzelf er van dat uw netspanning overeen komt met de vermelde spanning op het typeplaatje. 3. Het apparaat mag uitsluitend gerepareerd worden door een erkende dealer. Ondeskundige reparaties kunnen tot aanzienlijk gevaar leiden voor de gebruiker. 4. Defecte onderdelen mogen alleen door originele vervangingsonderdelen worden vervangen. Alleen bij deze onderdelen is gewaarborgd dat ze voldoen aan de veiligheidseisen. 5. Om een elektrische schok te voorkomen, adviseren wij u elektrische onderdelen niet in water of andere vloeistoffen onder te dompelen.

Personen die vanwege lichamelijke, geestelijke of motorische beperkingen niet in staat zijn om het apparaat veilig te bedienen mogen het apparaat alleen onder toezicht of met instructies door een verantwoordelijk persoon gebruiken. 7. Laat kinderen het apparaat niet bedienen en laat ze niet met het apparaat spelen. 8. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact als het product niet gebruikt wordt of voordat er onderdelen afgehaald of teruggeplaatst worden. 9. De voedingskabel moet altijd aan de stekker uit het stopcontact worden getrokken, niet aan de kabel. 10. Draag het apparaat niet aan de voedingskabel. Belangrijke veiligheidsvoorschriften 1. Raak geen hete oppervlakken of onderdelen aan. 2. Gebruik het apparaat op een droge, vlakke ondergrond. 3. Zet het apparaat niet op of in de buurt van een gas- of elektrische brander of oven. 4. Zorg voor voldoende circulatieruimte rondom het apparaat 5. Zorg ervoor dat de ondergrond hittebestendig is of gebruik een isolerende mat. 6. Laat het snoer niet over randen van tafels of andere oppervlakken hangen, zorg ervoor dat het niet in de knoop raakt en laat het niet in contact komen met hete oppervlakken. 7. Gebruik geen bijtende schoonmaakmiddelen om het apparaat te reinigen. 8. Gebruik het apparaat niet buitenshuis. 9. Voer geen enkele wijziging of reparatie aan het apparaat uit. Bij defecten aan het netsnoer of een ander deel van het apparaat, het apparaat niet gebruiken maar naar een erkende technische dienst brengen.

21 Gebruiksaanwijzing Beschrijving Deze rijstkoker is een eenvoudig en gemakkelijk apparaat om perfect rijst te koken. De automatische warmhoudfunctie houdt de rijst nog uren lang warm,luchtig en klaar om te serveren. Door de grote inhoud van de rijstkoker kunt u op een zuinige manier rijst koken voor het gezin, voor een feestje of voor de diepvriezer. Gebruiksaanwijzing OPMERKING: Was de rijstkom, het deksel, de maatbeker en de spatel in warm zeepsop. Spoel de onderdelen en droog ze af. Veeg met een schone, vochtige doek over de bodem en droog die zorgvuldig af. Gebruik nooit agressieve schoonmaak- of schuurmiddelen op, om het even welk deel van, het apparaat. Dompel de verwarmingsplaat nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof. Controleer voor elk gebruik of de buitenkant van de rijstkoker schoon en droog is en of de hittevoeler in het midden in het toestel op de verwarmingsplaat schoon, droog en koud is. Behandel het apparaat met zorg: beschadigingen kunnen de goede werking in het gedrang brengen. Rijst koken 1. Neem de juiste hoeveelheid rijst en water en doe dit in de rijstkom. Raadpleeg de kooktabel. Voorkom dat er water op de bodem van het apparaat komt.

22 2. Plaats de rijstkom op de bodem. Controleer of de kom goed op de verwarmingsplaat staat en doe het deksel er op. 3. Steek de stekker in een stopcontact (230V) en schakel het apparaat in: het rode kooklichtje gaat branden. Deze schakelaar zal slechts in de benedenpositie blijven, indien de kom correct is geplaatst: dit is een veiligheidsborg van deze rijstkoker. Wacht ± 20 minuten (zie schema) tot de rijst volledig gekookt is. Roer met de spatel de rijst los. 4. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact, verwijder de deksel en haal de rijstkom uit het toestel.(let op: heet) 5. Wanneer u de rijst wilt warm houden, laat u het toestel aan. Plaats de deksel weer op zijn plaats nadat u de rijst heeft omgeroerd. U kunt de rijst enkele uren lang warm houden. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact om de warmhoudfunctie te stoppen. OPMERKING: Indien u ongewassen rijst heeft gebruikt, zal een dun laagje zetmeel achterblijven in de kom: dit is normaal. Dit zetmeel kan gewoon weer mee doorgeroerd worden met de rijst: het heeft geen enkel effect op de smaak of structuur. De meningen verschillen over het feit of de rijst voor het koken moet worden gespoeld: de voorstanders beweren dat het water het zetmeel verwijdert en de korrels niet

23 gaan kleven. Tegenstanders beweren dat de zo belangrijke oplosbare vitamines en mineralen verloren gaan. Wanneer u de rijst eerst wast, krijgt u een drogere, luchtigere rijst. Wanneer er andere toevoegingen bij de rijst zijn, mag u de rijst niet langer dan 1 uur warm houden, anders gaat de smaak verloren. Kooktabel voor witte rijst Gebruik de standaard bijgeleverde maatbeker. Aantal maatbekers ongekookte rijst Aantal maatbekers water 2 2-2½ Reiniging en onderhoud OPMERKING: 4 4-4½ 6 6-6½ 8 8-8½ ½ Reinig het apparaat steeds na gebruik. 1. Na gebruik de rijstkom, de deksel, maatbeker en spatel in warm zeepsop afwassen. Gebruik nooit agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen, schuurmiddelen of metalen schuursponsjes. Spoel en droog af. Indien de rijst aan de bodem van de rijstkom is vastgekoekt, vult u de kom met zeepsop en laat het 10 minuten inweken. Reinig de verwarmingsplaat met een schone, vochtige doek en droog af. 2. Uso y Funcionamiento Descripción La arrocera proporciona un método simple y sin problemas para cocinar arroz perfectamente. La función Warm [Caliente] mantiene el arroz caliente, mullido y listo para servir de forma automática durante horas. La gran capacidad de la arrocera permite preparar arroz de modo económico para una familia, para una fiesta o para grandes proporciones a fin de congelarlas posteriormente.

29 Instrucciones de uso ADVERTENCIA: Antes de utilizar el aparato por primera vez, limpie con agua caliente y jabón el bol, la tapa, la taza de medición y la espátula. Enjuague y seque a conciencia. Pase un trapo limpio y húmedo por la base. Seque en profundidad. No utilice detergentes duros ni limpiadores abrasivos en ninguna parte del aparato. No introduzca nunca la base en agua ni en ningún otro líquido. Antes de cada uso, asegúrese de que la parte exterior del bol de arroz está limpio y seco, y de que el sensor de calor en el centro, dentro de la base, está limpio, seco y fresco. Trate el bol de arroz con cuidado; si el bol se raya o abolla podría dar un resultado insatisfactorio. Cómo cocinar el arroz 1. Mida el arroz y el agua antes de cocer, y colóquelo por igual en el bol de arroz. (Ver Tarjeta de cocción de arroz). No ponga nunca líquido en la base. 2. Coloque el bol de arroz en la base y asegúrese de que el bol está bien fijo sobre ella. Cierre la tapa. 3. Enchufe el cable en una toma de 230V AC. Apriete el interruptor y la luz roja se iluminará. El interruptor de cocción no se colocará en la posición

30 inferior a menos de que se haya colocado el bol de arroz de la forma correcta: esta es una medida de seguridad de la arrocera. Espere 20 minutos para que el arroz termine de hacerse. 4. Revuelva el arroz con la espátula para que quede mullido. 5. Desenchufe la arrocera antes de retirar la tapa y el bol de arroz de la base. 6. Si quiere que el arroz se mantenga caliente, deje la arrocera enchufada y vuelva a colocar la tapa después de remover el arroz. NOTA: 1. Si cuece el arroz sin lavarlo previamente, puede que se forme una capa de almidón al fondo del bol de arroz: esto es bastante normal y se puede mezclar con el arroz al darle vueltas ya que no afectará al sabor ni a la textura. 2. Existen diferentes opiniones sobre si el arroz se debe lavar antes de cocinarlo o no. Los que están a favor argumentan que esta operación elimina el contenido de almidón y asegura unos granos que no se pegan. Los que están en contra valoran las vitaminas y minerales solubles que se pierden en el lavado. Para obtener un arroz más seco y mullido es necesario el lavado antes de la cocción. 3. Si se desean añadir otros ingredientes al arroz, el ciclo de mantenimiento de calor deberá estar encendido menos de una hora para evitar que se pierda sabor.
