Some of the changes include: Interagency Transfers are $.55 and must be purchased at the time of boarding using Stored Value on TAP only. Cash is no longer accepted for purchase of a transfer. Schedules indicate when a bus will arrive at major stops along the route. The following information provides basic steps to help you plan your bus trips: 1. Select the appropriate route number. 2. Use the section of the timetable that corresponds to the direction of travel (i.e. westbound/eastbound; the day of the week). 3. Only key points along the route are listed. Read the timetable from left to right. 4. Find the stop nearest your boarding location. If your stop is not at a time point, use the previous time point to determine when you should be at your stop. 5. Read down the column to determine the departure time. 6. Read across to determine the time of arrival and intersection nearest your destination. 7. If you must arrive at your destination at a given time, find that time on the schedule and look to the left to determine your departure time. If you need to transfer to another bus to complete your trip, look up the schedule for the route that you will transfer to and find connecting times. For the latest information and scheduling, call 294-1BUS ( ) City of Santa Clarita Transit is Fully Accessible All City of Santa Clarita Transit buses are wheelchair accessible. Passengers can use wheelchair lifts or ramps at all accessible bus stops. Each bus has two wheelchair positions. If they are occupied, our driver will stop and let you know to catch the next bus. To ensure your safe use of the lifts, we recommend that you board the lift facing outward, and our driver will ask that you set your brakes. To ensure your safety during the trip, all wheelchairs must be secured. Most of our local buses are able to kneel for easy assistance. Please request the driver to put the bus in the kneeling position for ease of boarding. Lifts may also be used with a walker at the passenger s request. Dial-A-Ride and Access Services Inc. City of Santa Clarita Transit provides wheelchair accessible van transportation to seniors over 60 years of age, and to certified disabled passengers who are unable to access local bus service. New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day follow Sunday schedules. All other holidays, regular schedule for that day of the week. Interagency/ Metro to Muni Transfer City of Santa Clarita Transit no longer sells Interagency Transfers on paper tickets, and requires that all Interagency Transfers be loaded onto your TAP card. Interagency Transfers are $.55 and must be purchased at the time of boarding using Stored Value on TAP only. Cash is not accepted for purchase of a transfer. City of Santa Clarita Transit will continue to accept Interagency Transfer paper tickets sold by other connecting transit agencies. TAP cards are made available for purchase at 10 locations throughout Santa Clarita and at all METRO rail stations. Worth $1.00 credit towards the full cash fare on inbound Santa Clarita commuter routes. Worth $.50 credit towards the reduced cash fare for eligible seniors and persons with disabilities on inbound Santa Clarita commuter routes. Must be used within 2 hours of purchase and must be tapped on a participating agency upon use. Santa Clarita Transit Monthly Passes Local Monthly Passes Valid only on local routes. Local passes are no longer valid on commuter routes and do not count as a credit towards another ride. Commuter Monthly Passes Accepted on all local routes and valid for one cash fare per trip. Commuter monthly passes are only valid on the route it was purchased for. EZ transit passes Full Fare Worth $1.00 credit towards any higher zone commuter route full cash fare. For example, if you have a Zone 3 EZ transit pass and wish to ride a Zone 5 commuter route, your pass will be worth $1.00 towards the cash fare. Reduced Fare Worth $.50 credit towards the any higher zone commuter route reduced cash fare route. For example, if you have a Zone 3 EZ transit pass and wish to ride a Zone 5 commuter route, your pass will be worth $.50 towards the cash fare. Passes with a higher zone may be used on lower zoned routes, good for one ride per use. Recommended for passengers who ride multiple routes or agencies. Upcharges may apply with other transit operators. Please contact your connecting transit operator for more information. Metrolink Passes If a customer boards a bus without valid Metrolink media, the cash fare will be collected. Metrolink passes/tickets are only valid within the timeframe printed on the pass/ticket. One-Way Valid for one boarding on any Santa Clarita Transit route on the date of purchase until the time indicated on the ticket, and must be surrendered to operator at time of use. Round-Trip Valid for two boardings on any Santa Clarita Transit route on the date of purchase until the time indicated on the ticket. 7-Day Pass Valid on any Santa Clarita Transit route during the 7 days printed on the pass. Weekend Pass Valid on any Santa Clarita Transit route during the weekend printed on the pass.
