2 ES - Introducción Antes de realizar la instalación, se recomienda leer estas instrucciones. Este producto debe ser instalado por un electricista calificado. Lea las instrucciones cuidadosamente. Con el propósito de reducir el riesgo de incendio, choques eléctricos y lesiones siga las siguientes recomendaciones: Este ventilador debe ser instalado por un electricista calificado de acuerdo con las regulaciones locales, estatales y su respectivo código eléctrico nacional. Cualquier modificación para cableados debe ser realizada por un electricista, mecánico, o por una persona autorizada legalmente para realizar instalaciones eléctricas. Este ventilador de techo debe ser instalado a 240VAC y 50Hz. Todos los trabajos eléctricos pueden ser realizados solamente luego de la desconexión del suministro eléctrico apagando los interruptores automáticos o los fusibles para asegurar el aislamiento eléctrico total de la instalación. Este ventilador debe ser conectado a la conexión de puesta a tierra. Las aspas del ventilador deben estar a una altura mínima de 2,1 metros. La estructura que soporta el ventilador debe ser capaz de resistir un peso de al menos 45kg. Esta estructura tiene que soportar el peso del ventilador en movimiento sin rotar o aflojarse. Asegúrese que la instalación no permita que las aspas del ventilador no tengan contacto con ningún objeto garantizando una distancia mínima de 150mm desde la punta del aspa hasta la pared. Mientras mayor sea esta distancia, mejor será la eficiencia del ventilador. No instalar este ventilador de techo en intemperie. Instalar el ventilador en lugares donde esté expuesto al agua o humedad es peligroso. No conectar el motor del ventilador a un regulador (Dimmer). Esto provocará un rendimiento no deseado (Ruidos) y reduce la vida útil del motor drásticamente, llegando a causar averías en el motor. Utilizar solamente el controlador incluido en el paquete. Este ventilador no puede ser utilizado por niños pequeños sin la supervisión de un responsable. Evitar el uso de este ventilador mientras existan aparatos de gas en funcionamiento en la misma habitación. Antes de cambiar la dirección de giro de las aspas del ventilador, éste debe estar apagado y detenido completamente. Así se previene cualquier daño en el motor del ventilador o en el controlador. 2

3 No se debe colocar ningún objeto en las aspas del ventilador mientras esté girando. Esto puede dañar de forma permanente las aspas además de causar un desbalance provocando que la unidad funcione de forma errática. Luego de que el ventilador esté completamente instalado, asegúrese que tanto la base como las aspas estén aseguradas y ajustadas correctamente. Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas conexiones pueden aflojarse. Se deben revisar las conexiones del soporte, tornillos y aspas dos veces al año, de existir alguna conexión floja, se debe ajustar apropiadamente. Se recomienda el uso de un interruptor automático o fusible como elemento de protección eléctrica. Buscador de fallos: Revisar el Checklist de averías incluido en este manual antes de realizar algún reclamo por garantía. Luego de realizar la instalación, puede existir ruido mecánico. Deje al menos 8 horas para permitir que se ajusten todas las conexiones del ventilador. El hecho de que algunos ventiladores tiendan a tambalearse más que otros, incluso siendo idénticos, no significa necesariamente que sea un fallo. Seleccionando la ubicación No instalar en intemperie. Instalar el ventilador en un lugar donde esté expuesto al agua o humedad es peligroso. Seleccionar una ubicación para instalar el ventilador en donde las aspas se encuentren a más de 2,1 metros de altura con respecto al suelo. Si la ubicación que se ha seleccionado no es capaz de soportar 45kg, se debe instalar un brazo de 2 x 4 como mínimo entre la viga del techo y el ventilador como un soporte intermedio. Asegúrese que el lugar de instalación impida que las aspas del ventilador hagan contacto con cualquier objeto en ningún momento, dejando para esto una distancia mínima de 150mm entre la punta del aspa y cualquier objeto ubicado alrededor del ventilador. 3

4 Antes de instalar Desempaque el ventilador de techo cuidadosamente, luego retire todas las partes y components, y ubique todo sobre una superficie suave para evitar daños. Antes de iniciar la instalación, revise que todos los componentes estén incluidos. Montaje Asegúrese que el soporte de montaje a la viga de techo o estructura adaptada sea capaz de cargar un mínimo de 45kg, asegúrese que los tornillos de montajes sean de 30mm como mínimo. Cableado NOTA: Este ventilador de techo debe ser instalado por un electricista certificado/calificado. PRECAUCIÓN: Antes de instalar el ventilador, asegúrese que esté desconectado el suministro de energía eléctrica. IMPORTANTE: Verificar que todos los cables están aislados eléctricamente antes de realizar el cableado. Los cables de entrada deben conectarse a los terminales de Fase, Neutro y Tierra (L, N, E) ubicado en los terminales de entrada del controlador. 4

5 Revisar que no exista ningún cable flojo en los terminales. Asegúrese de que los cables están ubicados en la posición correcta. Ensamble de la barra con el motor del ventilador 1. Afloje los tornillos de la bola colgante y quite el pin de la barra, déjelo a un lado hasta llegar al paso Quite la bola colgante y déjela a un lado hasta el paso Quite el pin y la chaveta de la barra y déjelo a un lado hasta el paso Afloje los dos tornillos de la barra en la cubierta cónica. 5. Inserte la barra y los cables de alimentación (con conector de 4 pines) a través de la taza y de la cubierta cónica. 6. Inserte la bola colgante a través de la barra e inserte el pin dentro de la barra (quitados en el paso 1 y 2). 5

6 7. Ajuste el tornillo nuevamente en la bola colgante y asegúrese de que esté ajustado de forma correcta. 8. Inserte la barra dentro del Yugo, inserte el pin a través del Yugo y del la barra y asegúrelo con la chaveta. 9. Ajuste los tornillos de la barra de forma segura, el Yugo debe quedar cubierto completamente. 10. El ventilador está listo para ser instalado. Ensable del ventilador Levante el cuerpo del motor hasta sujetar la bola dentro del soporte de montaje. Deslice la taza a lo largo de la barra y sobre el soporte de montaje y asegúrela en su sitio con los dos tornillos incluidos en el paquete. 6

7 Ensamble de las aspas Luego de tener el cuerpo del motor en su lugar, se procede a ensamblar las aspas. Ubique el final del aspa con los agujeros de los tornillos en el motor. Utilice los tornillos y arandelas suministradas para atornillar cada aspa al cuerpo del motor. Atornille la cubierta inferior para finalizar la instalación. 9 EN - Introduction Before installation, it is most important that you read and follow the instructions in this use and care booklet. This product must be installed by a qualified electrician. Read all the instructions carefully, when using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury, these basic safety precautions should always be followed: This ceiling fan must be installed by a qualified electrical contractor in accordance with the local regulations, and all local, state and national electrical codes. Any alterations or additions to building wiring must be completed by a licensed electrical mechanic, or person authorised by legislation to work on the fixed wiring of any electrical installation. The ceiling fan must be connected to a 240VAC 50Hz power supply. All electrical work must only be undertaken after disconnection of the power by removing fuses or turning off the circuit breaker, to ensure all pole isolation of the electrical supply. The fan must be electrically Earthed. The fan must be installed so that the blades are at least 2.1 metres above the floor. The structure that the ceiling fan is connected to must be capable of supporting a weight of at least 45kg. the fixing must be able to support the moving weight of the fan and must not twist or work loose. Make sure that the installation site will not allow the rotating fan blades to come into contact with any object and that there is a minimum clearance of 150mm from the blade tip to the wall or ceiling. Please note that this clearance is the better the airflow from your fan will be. Do not use this ceiling fan outdoors. Installing the fan in a position where it could be exposed to water or moisture is dangerous. Do not connect the fan motor to a dimmer switch. This may give an unsatisfactory performance (motor hum) and cause damage to the motor. Use only the provided fan controller switch. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. It is not recommended that ceiling fans and gas appliances be operated in the same room at the same time. 9

10 The fan must have turned off and stopped completely before reversing the fan direction. This will prevent any damage to the motor of the fan or controller. Do not insert anything into the fan blades whilst they are spinning. This will damage the blades and uset the balance of the fan causing the unit to wobble. After the fan is completely installed make sure that all base and fan blade fixings are secured and tightened to prevent any problems. Because of the fan s natural movement, some connections may loosen. Check the support connections, brackets and blade attachments twice a year to make sure they remain secured if any are loose, tighten. An al-pole disconnection incorporated in the fixed wiring is to be provided, such as an all-pole switch or a supply cord fitted with a plug. Fault Finder: Always check the Troubleshooting Checklist included in this booklet before seeking warranty claim. Mechanical noise may be noticed on installation. Allow at least 8 hours settlingin period. Some fans may wobble more than others, even if they are identical. This does not necessarily indicate a fault. Selecting a Location Do not use outdoors. Installing the fan in a position where it could be exposed to water or moisture is dangerous. Choose a location for mounting the fan where the blades will have at least 2.1 metres of clearance from the floor. If the location you have chosen does not have a suitable support beam capable of supporting 45kg, install a brace at least 2 x 4 between the ceiling joists as a support medium. Make sure that the installation site will not allow the rotating fan blades to come into contact with any object and that there is a minimum clearance of 150mm from your fan will be. Before installing 10

11 Unpack your ceiling fan carefully, then remove all parts and components, and lay on a cloth or soft surface to avoid damage. Do not lay the motor housing on its side, the housing may get damage. Before start the installation, check that all parts are included. You may need to remove all foam packaging material to ensure there are not missing components. Mounting the plate Secure the mounting bracket to the ceiling joist or suitable structure that is capable of carrying a load of at least 45kg, ensure that at least 30mm of the mounting screws are threaded into the support (See figure). Wiring the terminal block NOTE: this ceiling fan must be installed by a licenced/qualified electrician. CAUTION: before installing the fan, make sure you have turned off the electrical supply. IMPORTANT: ensure all cables are electrically isolated before wiring. Wire the incoming power cables to the terminal block mounted on the mounting plate. Wire active, ground and neutral to the corresponding L, N, E terminals respectively (See figure). 11

12 Check that there are not loose wire strands hanging out of the terminal block. Check that the cables are terminated into the correct position in the terminal block. Assembling the downrod to fan motor 11. Loosen the jam screw from the hanging ball and pull it down, remove the pin from the downrod and keep it aside for step Remove the hanging ball and keep it aside for step Remove the cross pin and cotter pin from the downrod and keep for step Loosen the 2 downrod jam screws at the yoke. 15. Insert the downrod through the canopy and the yoke cover, and feed the motor lead wires (with 4 pin connector) through the downrod. 16. Insert the hanging ball through the downrod and insert the pin back into the downrod (removed from step 1 and step 2) 17. Tighten the jam screw back into the hanging ball and make sure it is tight. 18. Insert the downrod assembly into the yoke, insert the cross pin through the yoke and downrod and secure with the cotter pin. 19. Tighten both the downrod jam screws to further secure the downrod, pull down the yoke cover to completely cover the yoke. 20. The fan is now ready to install. 12

13 Hanging Fan Assembly Lift the motor body to hang the ball into the mounting bracket. Slide the canopy along the downrod and over the mounting bracket and secure it in place with the 2 mounting screws provided. Assembling the Blades With the motor body in place the blades can now be assembled onto the motor. Place align the blade end with the screw holes in the motor. Use the screws and washers provided to screw each blade to the motor body. Finally screw on the bottom cover plate to complete. 13
