Characters are the people in a story and settings are the time and place of a story. This story takes place in a village. Babu is Bernardi s grandfather. Even though he can t talk, he shows Bernardi how much he loves him. He makes toys for him out of wood and old tin cans. And Bernardi is always happy to be with him. Babu and Bernardi are the characters in Babu s Song.
