3 Este aparato puede ser utilizado por niños de 8 añosomásylaspersonascondiscapacidadfísica, sensorial o mental o falta de experiencia y conocimiento si han sido supervisados o instruidos acerca del uso del aparato de forma segura y comprender la peligros involucrados. Los niños no deben jugar con el aparato. Limpieza y mantenimiento no será realizada por los niños. Los niños deben ser supervisados para asegurarse de que no jueguen con el aparato. Si el cable de alimentación está dañado, debe ser reemplazado por un técnico cualificado con el fin de evitar situaciones de peligro. Asegúrese de que todas las piezas estén completamente secas antes de llenar el aparato con aceite. No encienda el aparato hasta que se ha llenado con aceite. No sobrepase los límites indicados. Tenga cuidado durante la utilización de la freidora ya que el aparato emite vapores calientes y puede además salpicar aceite caliente. Utilice comida siempre seca antes de freír para evitar la formación de espumas de aceite o salpicaduras de aceite. Tenga cuidado de no tocar las superficies calientes del aparato. Cuando termine de cocinar, gire el termostato a la posición mínima y desenchúfela de la red. No mueva el aparato hasta que el aceite se haya enfriado. Asegúrese de que haya suficiente ventilación alrededor del aparato para permitir el escape de calor y los vapores. No sumerja el aparato en agua o cualquier otro líquido. Este aparato no contiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas. Todas las reparaciones deben ser llevadas a cabo por un técnico cualificado. Las reparaciones inadecuadas pueden exponer al usuario en riesgo. No haga funcionar el aparato después de un mal funcionamiento o si se ha caído o dañado de algún modo. 5 Nivel y mantenimiento de aceite Antes de conectar el aparato a la red eléctrica, garantizar siempre que el aceite está entre el límite mínimo y el marcado en el interior del tanque máximo. Si no se llena la unidad correctamente, los alimentos no se freirán correctamente. NOTA: Se recomienda que el aceite reutilizado se filtre para eliminar restos de comida restantes. ADVERTENCIA: Es importante cambiar el aceite si cualquiera de los siguientes características se observan: * Hay un olor desagradable al aceite. * Hay un excesivo humo durante el calentamiento del aceite. Instrucciones de uso Abrir la tapa con el mango de la tapa incorporada. Llenar el depósito de aceite hasta el nivel adecuado. El depósito de aceite está claramente marcado con el nivel de aceite máximo y mínimo. No intente freír con menos aceite del nivel mínimo ya que esto podría causar daños y sobrecalentamiento de la unidad. No llene por encima del nivel máximo ya que esto podría causar lesiones al usuario o daños materiales. Cierre la tapa completamente. Coloque el control de temperatura en la posición de apagado y enchufe el cable a la toma de la fuente de alimentación. La luz de encendido se iluminará de color rojo. Gire el mando del termostato a la temperatura requerida y la unidad se volverá a encender. La luz verde se iluminará. Deje que el aceite alcance la temperatura requerida antes de colocar cualquier alimento en el aceite. La luz verde se apagará cuando el aceite ha alcanzado la temperatura seleccionada. NOTA: La luz roja permanecerá encendida. La luz verde se enciende y se apaga a voluntad con el termostato. Coloque los alimentos en el cestillo para freír. No sobrecargue la cesta ya que esto reduciría sustancialmente la temperatura del aceite. Una vez que el aceite ha alcanzado la temperatura correcta y la luz verde se ha apagado, baje lentamente la cesta en el aceite. La tapa se puede colocar en la freidora durante el uso, excepto cuando se frían alimentos con mucha agua. 5

6 Cuando los alimentos estén listos, levante la tapa si se ha utilizado. Suba la cesta lentamente fuera del aceite y coloque la cesta en el soporte de drenaje situado en la parte posterior en el borde de la freidora. PRECAUCIÓN: Tanto los alimentos como la cesta estarán muy calientes, no intente retirar los alimentos de la cesta con las manos. Después de que el exceso de aceite se haya drenado, coloque la comida en una bandeja con un papel absorbente para eliminar el aceite restante. Después del uso, apague el aparato girando el control de temperatura completamente hacia la izquierda a la posición de apagado ydesconectedelaredeléctrica. Mantenimiento y Limpieza Coloque el control de temperatura completamente hacia la izquierda y desconecte el aparato de la red. Permita que el aceite y la freidora se enfríen a temperatura ambiente. Con cuidado, vierta el aceite en un recipiente de almacenamiento. El aparato puede limpiarse con un paño y un detergente suave. Nota: Después de limpiar el aparato debe ser secado a fondo con un paño seco. El filtro se encuentra debajo de una cubierta en la tapa. Empuje la palanca en la tapa y levante para abrirlo. Retire el filtro y límpielo con agua tibia y jabón. Asegúrese de que el filtro esté completamente seco antes de volver a ponerlo. Si en un futuro necesita desprenderse de este producto NO lo ponga en los residuos domésticos, envíelo a los puntos de recogidas de residuos existentes en su área. De igual manera, debe extraer los residuos de pilas y/o acumuladores antes de la entrega del RAEE a través de los canales de recogida separada habilitados al efecto (distribuidores y/o instalaciones de las Entidades Locales) 7

Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge. They should be given supervision and 9

10 instruction in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified engineer in order to avoid a hazard. Ensure all parts are completely dry before filling the appliance with oil or liquid fat. Do not switch the appliance on until it has been filled with oil or liquid fat. Do not overfill. Exercise caution during frying as the appliance will emit hot steam and may spit out hot oil. Always dry food before frying to prevent the oil frothing or spitting. Take care not to touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. When cooking is finished, turn the thermostat to the minimum position and unplug from the supply. Do not move the appliance until the oil or liquid fat has cooled. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation around the appliance to allow the escape of heat and steam. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids. This appliance contains no user serviceable parts. All repairs should only be carried out by a qualified engineer. Improper repairs may place the user at risk of harm. Do not operate the appliance after a malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains power supply. This appliance must be unplugged from the power supply after use and whilst any maintenance such as cleaning is carried out. The appliance must be used on a stable, heat resistant surface. Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than that for which it is designed. Ensure that the supply cord is kept away from heat or sharp edges that could cause damage. This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for commercial purposes. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use. 10

11 Description of parts Oil level and oil maintenance Before plugging the unit into the mains power supply, always ensure the oil reached between the Minimum and Maximum marking on the inside of the tank. Failure to fill the unit correctly, lard or olive oil in this appliance as these ingredients are not conducive to deep frying. NOTE: It is recommended that re-used oil be strained to remove any remaining food particles. 11

12 WARNING: It is important to replace the oil if any of the following are noticed; There is an unpleasant odor to the oil. There is excessive smoking during heating. NOTE: The oil will require changing more frequently when frying foods in batter. CAUTION: Solid fat can be used instead of oil, however it will solidify after use making it difficult to remove the submerged element and fryer control from the tank. Instructions for use Open the lid using the lid handle tap provided. Fill the oil tank to the appropriate level. The oil tank is clearly marked with the Minimum and Maximum oil levels. Do not attempt to fry with less than the minimum level as this could cause damage and overheating to the unit. Do not fill above the maximum level as this could cause serious personal injury or damage to property. Closed the lid fully. Turn the temperature control to the off position and plug the cord into the mains power supply socket. The red power light will illuminate. Turn the thermostat control to the required temperature and the unit will then turn on. The green heat light will illuminate. Allow the oil to reach the required temperature before placing any food in the oil. The green light will go out when the oil has reached the selected temperature. NOTE: The red light will remain on. The green light will cycle on and off with the thermostat. Place the food in the frying basket. Do not overload the basket as this will substantially lower the oil temperature. Once the oil has reached the correct temperature and the green light has turned off, slowly lower the fry basket into the oil. The lid can be placed on the fryer during use except when cooking high moisture foods. When the food is ready, lift the lid if used. Lift the basket up slowly out of the oil and place the basket on the drain support located on the back of the fry basket and located in its position on the rim of the fryer. CAUTION: Both the food and the fry baskets will be very hot, do not attempt to remove food from the fry basket with your hands. 12

13 After the excess oil has drained, place the food on a paper towel lined baking sheet to soak up any remaining oil. If you are frying more than one batch, ensure the oil re-heats to the required temperature before adding the food. After use, turn the appliance off by turning the temperature control fully anti-clockwise to the off position and unplug from the mains. Cleaning & Maintenance Turn the temperature control fully anti-clockwise and disconnect the appliance from the supply. Allow the oil and the appliance to cool down to room temperature. Carefully pour the oil into a storage container. The appliance can be cleaned using a cloth and a mild detergent. Note: After cleaning the appliance must be thoroughly dried using a dry cloth. The filter is located under a cover in the lid. Push the lever on the lid and lift to open it. Removethefilterandcleaninwarm,soapywater.Ensure the filter is thoroughly dry before refitting. Close the cover and ensure the latch engages. The lid is removable for easy cleaning; simply open fully and lift off its hinged position. Ensure it is fully re-fitted before use. 13

14 Frying time The following is a guideline for frying certain types of foods. Most frozen food will give temperature recommendations and frying times, which can also be followed. This is a guideline only and frying should always be monitored. Food temperature Approx. The European Directive 2002/96 /EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) required that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the material they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out wheeled bin symbol on the product remind you of your obligations that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Besides that, waste batteries and/or accumulator must be removed prior to delivery of WEEE, thought the separated collection channels provided for this purpose (distributors and/or facilities from Local Authorities 15
