Appendix Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), is a Wi-Fi standard that was designed to improve upon the security features of WEP. The technology is designed to work with existing Wi-Fi products that have been enabled with WEP (i.e., as a software upgrade to exiting hardware), but the technology includes two improvements over WEP: 1) Improved data encryption through Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) 2) User authentication using Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) via a RADIUS server. Note that WPA is an interm standard that will be replaced with the IEEE s 802.11i standard upon its completion. WPA - Wi-Fi Protected Access authorizes and authenticates users onto the wireless network. WPA uses stronger security then WEP and is based on a key that changes automatically at a regular interval. This mode requires a RADIUS server in the network. WPA-PSK - Pre-Shared Key mode means that the wireless client and the router must have the same passphrase in order to establish the wireless connection. WPA - Wi-Fi Protected Access autoriza y autentifica usuarios en una red inalámbrica. WPA utiliza mayor seguridad que WEP, y se basa en una clave que cambia automáticamente a un intervalo regular. Este modo requiere un servidor RADIUS en la red. WPA-PSK - El modo PSK (Pre-Shared Key) implica que el cliente inalámbrico y el router han de tener la misma frase secreta (passphrase) a fin de establecer una conexión inalámbrica. Configuración de la dirección IP Para conectarse a una red, es necesario asegurarse de que se han configurado los parámetros adecuados de red para el DWL-G630. Para Microsoft Windows XP: Ir a Start > hacer click con el botón de la derecha en My Network Places > seleccionar Properties > hacer doble click en Network Connection asociada con el DWL-G630. Após você ter prosseguido no Windows 2000, ME, ou 98SE, o D-Link AirPlus G DWL-G630 Configuration Utility será iniciado automaticamente e o ícone do utilitário será exibido no canto inferior direito da tela de desktop (systray). Se este ícone aparece VERDE, entãovocê instalou o DWL-G630 com sucesso, está conectado a uma rede wireless e está pronto para se comunicar! Se o ícone do utilitário não for exibido, dê um duplo clique no c que apareceu no seu desktop. Dê um duplo clique no ícone do utilitário para utilizar o utilitário de configuração. Anexo Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), um padrão Wi-Fi que foi projetado para melhorar os recursos de segurança do WEP. A tecnologia é projetada para trabalhar com os produtos Wi-Fi existentes que foram habilitados com WEP (por ex. como um upgrade de software para o hardware existente), mas a tecnologia inclui dois aprimoramentos em relação ao WEP: 1.) Melhor criptografia de dados via Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) 2.) Autenticação do usuário utilizando Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) via RADIUS Observe que o WPA é um padrão temporário que será substituído pelo padrão IEEE s 802.11i quando da sua conclusão. WPA - O Wi-Fi Protected Access autoriza e autentica os usuários na rede wireless. O WPA utiliza segurança mais rígida que o WEP é está baseado em uma chave que muda automaticamente a um intervalo regular. Este modo requer um servidor RADIUS na rede. WPA-PSK - O modo Pre-Shared Key significa que o cliente wireless e o roteador devem ter a mesma frase secreta (passphrase) para estabelecer a conexão wireless.
