3 Quick Installation Guide 3 Video Server Quick Installation Guide To get your Video Server up and running on an Ethernet network, follow these instructions: 1. Note the serial number found on the underside label on the Video Server unit. The Ethernet address is the same as the serial number. 2. Connect the Video Server unit to the network. English Figure 1 Ethernet Connection 3. Connect the external power supply. This product is intended to be supplied by a Listed Direct Plug-In Power Unit marked Class 2 and rated 12V AC, at least 800mA. Figure 2 Power Connection 4. Insert the enclosed CD into your CD-ROM drive. Once the automatic installer finishes, run the program Setup_IPInstaller.exe, which is located inside the Utilities folder on the CD. This will install the IP Installer program on your computer. 5. Run the IP Installer program.

4 4 Video Server 6. Turn on or restart the Video Server. When the unit s Ethernet and IP addresses appear in the top window, click the Ethernet address (Serial Number). 7. Obtain a static IP address from your Information Systems department. Enter the IP address in the lower window and click Set IP address. The program will save the new IP address to the server s flash memory. 8. Connect the video cameras to the Video Server unit. Figure 3 Video In Connections 9. When the program asks if you want to launch the browser, click Yes. Your browser will start and display the login screen for your server. You can also access the server home page by launching your browser manually and entering the IP address in the location field. Video Server requires Internet Explorer 5.0 (see System Requirements in the Video Server Installation and Operation Instructions).

Anote el número de serie que se encuentra en la etiqueta de la parte inferior de la unidad Video Server. La dirección Ethernet es la misma que el número de serie. 2. Este producto está diseñado para utilizar una unidad de alimentación de enchufe directo de Clase 2 y especificada para 12 V CA y al menos 800 ma. A alimentación CA 12VAC Figura 3 Conexión de alimentación 4. Inserte el CD suministrado en la unidad de CD-ROM. Una vez que finalice la instalación automática, ejecute el programa Setup_IPInstaller.exe, situado dentro de la carpeta Utilities [Utilidades] del CD. Español 5. Ejecute el programa IP Installer.

6 6 Video Server 6. Encienda o reinicie la unidad Video Server. Cuando las direcciones Ethernet e IP de la unidad aparezcan en la ventana superior, haga clic en la dirección Ethernet (Número de serie). 7. Obtenga una dirección IP estática en el departamento de Sistemas Informáticos de su empresa. Introduzca dicha dirección IP en la ventana inferior y haga clic en Set IP address [Establecer dirección IP]. El programa guardará automáticamente la nueva dirección IP en la memoria flash del servidor. 8. Conecte las cámaras de vídeo a la unidad Video Server. El navegador se iniciará automáticamente y mostrará la pantalla de inicio de sesión (Login) de su servidor. Otro modo de acceder a la página de inicio del servidor es ejecutar el navegador manualmente e introducir la dirección IP en el campo Dirección. Video Server requiere el uso de Internet Explorer 5.0 (vea Especificaciones técnicas en Video Server Instrucciones de Instalación y Uso).
