3 General Information & Safety Instructions When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE. 2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. 3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid. 4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 6. Do not move the unit if it contains hot food or liquids. 7. Unplug the appliance from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the Chafing Dish to cool before putting on or taking off parts. 8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Take the appliance to a qualified service dealer for examination and repairs. 9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries. 10. Never use a scouring pad to wipe the unit. 11. Do not use the unit outdoors. 12. Do not let the power cord hang over table or counter edges, or come in contact with hot surfaces. 13. Do not place on or near a hot gas electric burner, or in a heated oven. 14. Do not use the unit on unstable surfaces. Use only on a flat stable surface. 15. Do not use the unit other than for its intended use. 16. The cord to this appliance should only be plugged into a 120 V AC electrical wall outlet. 17. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids. 18. A person who has not read and understood all operating and safety instructions is not qualified to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read and understand the instruction manual before operating or cleaning this appliance. 19. If this appliance falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water, unplug it from the wall outlet immediately. Do not reach into the water! 20. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not operate this appliance while it is touching or near curtains, wall covering, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials. 21. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, turn the temperature control dial to OFF, and immediately unplug the power-supply cord. Do not use or attempt to repair the malfunctioning appliance.

4 Short Cord Purpose NOTE: A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used: (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product; (2) the extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children or pets. Polarized Plug If this appliance has a polarized plug (meaning one blade is wider than the other one), please follow the below instructions: CAUTION: This appliance may be equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other blade) as a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to fit the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord. Do not alter the plug of the product or any extension cord being used with this product. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. 6 How to Use Your Stainless Steel Warming Dish BEFORE USING YOUR STAINLESS STEEL WARMING DISH Read all instructions and important safeguards before first use. 1. Carefully unpack the warming dish and remove all packaging and materials. Remove any label from the stainless steel surface. 2. Set the warming dish base on a dry, clean and flat surface. 3. Place the warming dish into the base, then add 2 cups water to the warming dish. Add the lid. 4. Plug the cord into 120V AC electrical outlets. 5. Turn the temperature control dial to HIGH, allow the warming dish to heat 10 minutes. NOTE: When the warming dish is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal and should disappear. This will not affect the safety of the appliance. 6. Using a protective oven mitt or potholder, grasp lid and set aside. Discard the water. Rinse and dry, add lid and store until ready for use. IMPORTANT: When setting the serving area, include an oven mitt or potholder to grasp the lid, a clear area to set the lid, and a long-handled utensil to serve food from the warming dish. NOTE: Food placed in the warming dish should already be cooked and hot. Keep the lid in place, remove only to serve. The warming dish is designed to keep food warm only; it cannot be used to cook foods. WARNING: The warming dish base is not designed to keep large, deep pots full of food or liquids warm. IMPORTANT: DO NOT IMMERSE THE WARMING DISH BASE IN WATER. USING YOUR STAINLESS STEEL WARMING DISH 1. Set the warming dish base on a dry, clean and flat surface. 2. Place the warming dish into the warming dish base. 3. Add hot, cooked food to the warming dish. Add the lid. CAUTION: Do not fill the warming dish more than ¾ full with food. 4. Add a long- handled utensil next to the warming dish for serving. 5. Plug the power-supply cord into a 120 V AC electrical outlet. 6. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired heating level: HIGH 158ᵒ F (70ᵒC) MED 140ᵒ F (60ᵒ C) LOW 122ᵒ F (50ᵒ C) 7. Using an oven mitt or a potholder, grasp the lid and set it aside. Serve food from the warming dish using a long- handled spoon or ladle. ALWAYS replace lid after serving. 8. Turn the temperature control dial to OFF and remove plug from electrical outlet when not in use. 9. Allow unit to cool completely before cleaning. NOTE: Foods containing little or no liquid should be stirred occasionally. CAUTION: To avoid dried-out or off flavors, do not leave food on the warming dish base for extended periods of time or when not in fuse. IMPORTANT: Always use the warming dish base handles to move the warming dish.

7 Care and Cleaning 1. Always make sure the temperature control dial turned to OFF, the warming dish is unplugged, and the warming dish base is cool before attempting to clean. 2. Using the handles, remove the warming dish from the warming dish base. 3. Hand wash the stainless steel warming dish and lid in warm, soapy water. Dry with a soft cloth. NOTE: The warming dish is dishwasher safe. 4. Wipe the lid and exterior with a dry cloth. NOTE: The lid is dishwasher safe. 5. Wipe the warming dish base with a damp cloth to remove superficial stains. Then shine with a dry cloth. 6. For stubborn stains, partially fill the warming dish with hot water and add to the warming dish base. Plug the warming dish into a 120 V AC electrical outlet, turn the temperature control dial to LOW, and allow soaking for 5 to 10 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to remove burnt particles. 7. If necessary, use a nylon or plastic pad a small amount of any good stainless steel cleanser to clean difficult areas. IMPORTANT: Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleansers. WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE THE WARMING DISH BASE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID. 8. Rinse well. Dry thoroughly, shine with a dry cloth. STORING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Turn the temperature control dial to OFF and remove plug from electrical outlet. 2. Store the warming dish, warming dish lid, and base in its box or in a cool, dry place. 3. Never store appliance while it is hot or still plugged in. 4. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break. WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE THE ENTIRE WARMING DISH INTO WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID OR THIS MAY DAMAGE THE WARMING DISH.

10 Propósito del cable corto NOTA: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de lesiones personales resultantes de enredarse o tropezar con un cable más largo. 12 Cómo usar su calentador de alimentos de acero inoxidable ANTES DE USAR SU CALENTADOR DE ALIMENTOS DE ACERO INOXIDABLE Lea todas las instrucciones y medidas de seguridad importantes antes de usar por primera vez. 1. Con cuidado, desempaque el calentador de alimentos y quite todo el material de embalaje. Quite todas las etiquetas de la superficie de acero inoxidable. 2. Coloque la base del calentador de alimentos sobre una superficie seca, limpia y plana. 3. Coloque el calentador de alimentos sobre la base y luego agregue 2 tazas de agua al calentador de alimentos. Coloque la tapa. 4. Conecte el cable a un tomacorriente de 120 V de CA. 5. Coloque el dial de control de temperatura en HIGH (Alto), y deje que el calentador de alimentos se caliente por 10 minutos. NOTA: Cuando el calentador de alimentos se calienta por primera vez, es posible que emita algo de humo u olor. Esto es normal y se disipará. Esto no afectará la seguridad del aparato. 6. Con un guante o paño de cocina, tome la tapa y hágala a un lado. Tire el agua. Enjuague y seque, coloque la tapa y almacene hasta que vaya a usarla. Con un guante o paño de cocina, tome la tapa y hágala a un lado. Sirva los alimentos del calentador de alimentos con una cuchara o cucharón largo. SIEMPRE vuelva a colocar la tapa después de servir. 8. Coloque el dial de control de temperatura en OFF y desconecte del tomacorrientes cuando no lo utilice. 9. Deje que la unidad se enfríe completamente antes de limpiarla. NOTA: Los alimentos que contengan poco o nada de líquido deben ser agitados cada tanto. PRECAUCIÓN: Para evitar quitar el sabor o sabor a seco, no deje los alimentos en la base del calentador de alimentos por mucho tiempo o cuando no está encendido. IMPORTANTE: Siempre use las asas de la base del calentador de alimentos para moverlo.

13 Cuidado y limpieza 1. Con las asas, quite el calentador de alimentos de la base del mismo. 3. Lave a mano el calentador de alimentos de acero inoxidable y la tapa con agua tibia y jabonosa. Seque con un paño suave. NOTA: El calentador de alimentos es apto para lavavajillas. 4. Limpie la tapa y el exterior con un trapo seco. NOTA: La tapa es apta para lavavajillas. 5. Limpie la base del calentador de alimentos con un paño húmedo para quitar las manchas superficiales. Luego lustre con un paño seco. 6. Ante manchas persistentes, llene parcialmente el calentador de alimentos con agua caliente y apoye sobre la base del calentador de alimentos. Conecte el calentador de alimentos a un tomacorrientes de 120 V de CA, coloque el dial de control de temperatura en LOW y deje remojar por 5 a 10 minutos. Use una cuchara de madera para quitar las partículas quemadas. 7. De ser necesario, use una almohadillas de nailon o plástico y una pequeña cantidad de cualquier limpiador apto para acero inoxidable para limpiar áreas difíciles. IMPORTANTE: No utilice almohadillas de lana de acero o limpiadores abrasivos. ADVERTENCIA: NUNCA SUMERJA LA BASE DEL CALENTADOR DE ALIMENTOS EN AGUA U OTRO LÍQUIDO. 8. Enjuague bien. Seque a fondo y lustre con un paño seco. INSTRUCCIONES DE ALMACENAMIENTO 1. Coloque el dial de control de temperatura en OFF y desconecte del tomacorrientes. 2. Almacene el calentador de alimentos, la tapa y la base en su caja o en un lugar frío y seco. 3. Nunca guarde el aparato mientras esté aún caliente o conectado. 4. Nunca enrolle el cable alrededor del aparato. No aplique ninguna fuerza sobre el cable donde ingresa a la unidad pues esto podría causar que se deshilache y rompa. ADVERTENCIA: NUNCA SUMERJA EL CALENTADOR DE ALIMENTOS ENTERO EN AGUA U OTRO LÍQUIDO YA QUE ESTO PODRÍA DAÑARLO.
