Convocatoria Competitive Low-Carbon Technologies Decarbonisation of Fossil Fuels - Context Fossil fuels will be used in Europe's power generation as well as in industrial processes for decades to come. A forward-looking approach to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture and Use (CCU) for the power and industrial sectors is crucial for reaching the 2050 climate objectives in a cost-effective way. Shale gas can contribute to our energy security, provided that issues of public acceptance and environmental impact are adequately addressed. The integration of (fluctuating) renewable electricity generation in our energy system requires new solutions for fossil fuel power plants to provide highly flexible yet efficient back-up power to stabilise the grid. 40

50 5. Reglas de participación RIA/IA CSA Las convocatorias que se evalúan en una única fase tienen un umbral mínimo por criterio de 3/5 y el total de 10/15. Las convocatorias que se evalúan en dos fases, en la fase 1 el umbral mínimo por criterio es de 4/5 y el total de 8 u 8,5/10. En las IA e Instrumento PYME el criterio de imparto tiene un peso de 1,5 a la hora de elaborar el ránking. Límite de páginas de las secciones 1, 2 y 3: 70 en el caso de las RIA/IA 50 en el caso de las CSA Los expertos valoran la capacidad operacional de los proponentes para llevar a cabo el trabajo propuesto. 58 PROTECCIÓN DE LOS RESULTADOS 6. Explotación de resultados La CE promueve que los consorcios tengan una estrategia para explotar las tecnologías y el conocimiento generado en proyectos H2020. Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) Approach that anticipates and assesses potential implications and societal expectations with regard to research and innovation, with the aim to foster the design of inclusive and sustainable research and innovation. RRI implies that societal actors (researchers, citizens, policy makers, business, third sector organisations, etc.) work together during the whole research and innovation process in order to better align both the process and its outcomes with the values, needs and expectations of society RRI is implemented as a package that includes multi-actor and public engagement in research and innovation, enabling easier access to scientific results, the take up of gender and ethics in the research and innovation content and process, and formal and informal science education 60

Aspectos de género Gender equality & gender dimension in research & innovation content Three objectives underpin the Commission s activities on gender equality in Horizon They are in line with the RTD strategy on gender as well as with the ones set in the ERA Communication of July 2012: Fostering gender balance in Horizon 2020 research teams, in order to address the gaps in the participation of women in the Framework Programme s projects Ensuring gender balance in decision-making, in order to reach the Commission s target of 40% of the under-represented sex in panels and groups (50% for advisory Groups) Integrating gender/sex analysis in research and innovation (R&I) content, helps improve the scientific quality and societal relevance of the produced knowledge, technology and/or innovation. Aconsejable presentar un propuesta temprana para revisar el procedimiento y ver cómo queda la propuesta Hacer la presentación definitiva con tiempo de sobra Es conveniente echar un vistazo a la propuesta una vez presentada y cuando aún queda tiempo de subir una versión corregida si fuera necesario Nunca se debe esperar a los últimos 30 minutos para presentar la propuesta. 82 12. Recomendaciones prácticas-lecciones aprendidas 4º paso: Preparar una propuesta excelente OPE Escribir una propuesta europea es una tarea ardua y cara. Conviene hacerlo con tiempo. El Abstract de la propuesta es la primera impresión que se va a llevar el evaluador. Es lo último que debe hacerse. Clarifica tus ideas, exponlas de manera ordenada y con un lenguaje sencillo. Los aspectos horizontales son importantes: género, ética, open access, 5º paso: Revisar la propuesta OPE NCPs El coordinador debe asegurar la homogeneidad del texto. La OPE o similar y los NCPs pueden ayudarnos revisando la propuesta desde el punto de vista formal y gratis! 82

No se debe esperar al último momento, porque es cuando el sistema puede fallar 7º paso: La evaluación de la propuesta.
