Social Sciences 3 º.- Unidad 3 Estimados padres, Vuestro hijo/a va a comenzar la unidad 3 de su libro de Ciencias Sociales Oxford Think Do! Learn 3. Esta unidad tiene por título Europe ( Europa ), y en ella aprenderá: El mapa físico de Europa. Los nombres y la localización de los mares y océanos de que la bañan. Los nombres y localización de los ríos y las cordilleras más importantes de Europa y sus principales características. El mapa político de Europa. Los nombres y localización de los principales países más importantes y sus capitales. Las lenguas y las culturas europeas. Os adjuntamos el vocabulario más importante que aprenderá a lo largo de la unidad. Quisiéramos animaros a que ayudéis a vuestro hijo/a a interiorizar los contenidos utilizando las audiciones y canciones de la unidad y la presentación power point. Asimismo, os invitamos a emplear un atlas o mapamundi de una enciclopedia o incluso Internet para localizar los distintos países que se conozcan o que se han visitado y tratar de ubicarlos en el mapa. They re one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world.
What rivers are there? The Volga is in Russia. It s Europe s longest river. It s about 3 700 km long. The Danube is the second longest river in Europe. It flows through ten European countries. The Rhine starts in the Alps, and it flows into the North Sea. It flows through six countries

What do we know about these countries? Austria is in the centre of Europe. It doesn t have a coast, but it has many mountains, forests and lakes. Italy is a peninsula in the south of Europe. It also has two islands, Sardinia and Sicily. Finland is in the north of Europe. It s between Sweden and Russia. Portugal is in the south of Europe. It s part of the Iberian Peninsula.
