2010 RULES AND REGULATIONS ARRIVING WITH LAN (SA1) / ARRIVING WITH OTHERS (SA2) 1. APPLICATION Applies to flights within South America on any aircraft operated by LAN Airlines (LA), LAN Express (LU), LAN Ecuador (XL), LAN Peru (LP) and LAN Argentina (4M). 2. ELIGIBILITY Level Net Fares (SA1) applies for passengers NOT residing in South America holding an international ticket showing arrivals to or departures from South America on any aircraft operated by LA/LP/LU/4M or XL. From Europe, it also applies to flights operated by IB. Also applies for brazilian residents holding an international LU/LA/LP/4M or XL ticket showing departures from or arrivals to Brazil. Level Net Fares (SA2) applies for passengers NOT residing in South America holding an international ticket showing arrivals to or departures from South America on airlines participating on the oneworld alliance (must have MITA agreement with all the carriers participating in the routing). Also applies for South African Airways (SA), Aeromexico (AM), Air China (CA) and United Airlines (UA). Passengers holding a LANPASS kms redemption ticket purchased and issued outside of South America, showing arrivals to or departures from South America qualify for the South American Airpass.. Compensation passengers also qualify. Passengers with ID/AD tickets do not qualify for the South American Airpass. 3. FARES USD $ Using LA/LP/LU/4M or XL flights into/out of South America or out/ into Brasil. Minimum of coupons: 2 coupons. Maximum coupons: 16 coupons. The same segment may be flown only once in the same direction. Allows surface. Fares apply to individual passengers. For information on group fares contact any LAN sales office. Fares are subject to change without prior notice. South American Airpass fares accrue 100% KMs LANPASS. Other oneworld or partner airline (TAM, ALASKA, AEROMEXICO) frequent flyer program members, accrue miles. South American Airpass can not be purchased/redeemed with kms LANPASS or with any of the frequent flyer programs mentioned above. Fuel surcharges not included. The fuel surcharges that apply are the ones valid on the day of issuance, for the corresponding market, and must be included in each coupon. 4. DISCOUNTS Child (CHD): 33% discount on the fare, except in P and I booking classes. Infant (INF): Infants under 2 years of age may fly with a 90% discount, if not occupying a seat, except in P and I booking classes. Senior Citizen: No discount. Agencies Discount (AD): Not permitted 5. APPLICATION PERIOD: For traveling commencing on September, 1st 2010. 6. VALIDITY Maximum stay: 12 months. Ticket validity: 12 months after the ticket is issued 7. STOPS AND CONNECTIONS Stopovers are limited to the total amount of coupons purchased. Connections permitted considered as one coupon. 8. SALES RESTRICTIONS The South American Airpass must only be sold outside South America except in Brazil. 9. RESERVATIONS At the time of issuance, all flights must be confirmed. The reservation must be made in connection with an international ticket to South America in flights operated by LA/LP/4M/XL/LU/ IB for Net Fares level, and in connection with international ticket to South America in flights operated by AA/ BA/CX/AY/JL/MA/QF/RJ/SA/AM/CA/UA for Net Fares Arriving with Others level. CLASS WITH LAN (SA1) WITH OTHERS (SA2) Booking classes for Domestic and Regional 1 routes are: B and H Regional 2 booking classes are: B and S Premium Economy booking class is: P Premium Business booking class is: I Fare Basis: BSA1 and HSA1 Fare Basis: BSA1 and SSA1 Fare Basis: PSA1 Fare Basis: ISA1 Fare Basis: BSA2 and HSA2 Fare Basis: BSA2 and SSA2 Fare Basis: PSA2 Fare Basis: ISA2 10. TICKETING For Net Fares (SA1) level, tickets must be issued separately, and in connection with an international ticket to / from South America operated by LA/LP/LU/4M/XL or IB. For Net Fares (SA2) level, tickets must be issued separately, and in connection with an international round trip ticket to South America operated by airlines participating on the oneworld alliance. The same applies for flights operated by South African Airways (SA), Aeroméxico (AM), Air China (CA) and United Airlines (UA). The endorsements and restrictions box must show: NON-END/NONREF/CHG FEE APPLIES/ CONX <N. of international tkt > Issuance with MCO or PTA is not permitted Must be issued 14 days before departure of first segment. If the reservation is made within 14 days prior to departure, the maximum time limit will be 24 hours after the reservation. LAN Airlines (LA), LAN Express (LU), LAN Ecuador (XL), LAN Peru (LP), LAN Argentina (4M) and Iberia (IB) reserve the right to change the time limit. 11. TICKET STOCK Issuance allowed for LA(045), XL(462), LP(544), 4M(469), depending on the country of issuance. Other stock allowed, as per bilateral agreements between all the carriers involved in the routing. 12. TOUR CODE: SA1: Net Fares level. SA2: Net Fares level. Tour Code is mandatory for issuance. 13. REFUND Refunds are allowed before the beginning of the trip inside South America (South American Airpass) with a penalty of 30 % of the total of the fare paid for the complete circuit of the South American Airpass. It does not allow refunds after the beginning of the trip. 14. DATE AND ROUTING CHANGES Changes allowed. A penalty of USD30 will be charged for every change for every passenger 15. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE For domestic flights, baggage allowance will correspond to the most permissive franchise applied in international flights (arrival or departure to/from South America or Brazil).
