If you have any questions, please contact DEC at Youth and Young Adult Event Title: UNPLUGGED 5 Date: March 7 th, 2015 Location: St. Lawrence - North Highlands, CA UNPLUGGED 5 Are you up for a challenge? High school students are invited to UNPLUG from their phones and other electronic devices and plug into God and their Catholic community. Embrace LENT through prayer, fasting, and alms-giving. 2 Event Title: Altar Server Olympics Date: April 18 th, 2015 Location: St. Clare - Roseville, CA Altar Server Olympics On April 18, 2015, the Altar Server Olympics is coming to St. Clare Parish in Roseville! From 1:00 6:00pm, teams hailing from all parts of the Diocese will be competing for the title of Altar Server Olympic champions. Bishop Soto will help us start our day by joining us for Mass at 1:00 pm. The day is a great opportunity to participate in a fun and friendly competition. NEW this year the Altar Server Olympics is open to Servers in 4th - 12th grade with two separate age divisions. Division A is for all 7th - 12th grade Altar Servers and Division B is for 4th - 6th grade Altar Server. The wining team from Division A will earn the right to display the coveted St. John Berchmans Cup in their parish sacristy for the year. The top two winning teams from Division B will win the chance to serve at the Confirmation Conference: Fired Up in February For more information and to register, visit Altar Server Olympics El 18 de abril del 2015, tendremos las Olimpiadas para Acólitos y se llevarán a cabo en la Parroquia de St. Clare en Roseville! Join Friends of Pendola March 14, 2015 from 6:00 10:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Parish for a fun-filled evening. Proceeds from the Fund Raising Dinner help to support Camp Pendola. Camp provides children, many of whom have had little exposure to nature, with a fun, enriching experience in the mountains in a Christian community. If you are at least 18 years old, have graduated from high school, love being in the outdoors, and enjoy working and playing with children, a summer camp job might be for you! This year, the traditional summer camp program will be celebrating 55 years of serving children and youth ages 6 to 17. Camp Pendola exists to build lasting relationships and teach stewardship of God s creations through Christian community living in the outdoors.
