1 FORMAT B2 SPEAKING EXAM PRODUCCIÓN ORAL 25% El examinador, de manera alternativa, hará preguntas a los dos alumnos. (4-5 min en total) Cada candidato tiene 15 segundos para preparar un tema determinado y 1 minuto para exponerlo. También contestará brevemente a 1 pregunta relacionada con el tema previamente expuesto por su pareja. (4-5 min en total) Los dos candidatos tienen que hablar entre ellos sobre una situación planteada y comentar las distintas posibilidades que se ofrecen. (4-5min en total) 4 Habrá una conversación entre los candidatos, guiado por el examinador, con preguntas relacionadas con la parte anterior. 2 Examples of the types of questions you will be asked in B2 Part 1 Good morning/afternoon/evening. Can I have your marksheets, please? Now, could you tell me your full name, please? Where do you live? - What do you like about living there? What do you normally do at the weekend? Tell us about an exciting experience you have had. Do you remember your first day at school? Can you tell me something about that? What is more important, earning money or enjoying your job? Where would you like to go on holiday in the future? (Why?) How would your life be different if you had been born in a different country?

3 Example of the type of activity you will be asked to do in B2 Part 2 (candidate A) Now, in this part of the test, you re each going to talk about a topic for one minute, and also answer a short question about your partner s topic. CANDIDATE A. You re going to talk about a house or flat you would like to live in. Here is your card. You can use the ideas on the card and any other ideas of your own. Remember, you should speak for about one minute. You now have 15 seconds to think about what you re going to say. All right? Your partner answers the question: Would you prefer to live in a small village or a big city?

4 Example of the type of activity you will be asked to do in B2 Part 2 (candidate B) CANDIDATE B. Now it s your turn. You re going to talk about an important decision. Here is your card. You can use the ideas on the card and any other ideas of your own. Remember, you should speak for about one minute. You now have 15 seconds to think about what you re going to say. All right? Your partner answers the question: Do you find it easy to make decisions?

5 Example of the type of activity you will be asked to do in B2 Part 3. In this part of the test, you re going to talk together about something for about three minutes. I'd like you to imagine that your university wants to organise a 'Nature Day' to help the environment. Here are some activities they are thinking about doing. First, talk together about how the different activities could help the environment. Then, decide which two activities would be best to help the environment.

6 Examples of the types of questions you will be asked in B2 Part 4 In the last part of the test you spoke about ways to help the environment. Now, you re going to talk together about some more environmental topics. Are you worried about the environment? Why / Why not? Do you use public transport? Why / Why not? Do you think people buy too many things these days? Why can this be a problem? What do you think is the biggest environmental problem where you live? Who do you think should be responsible for the environment, the general public or governments? Can you imagine what the world will be like in 100 years time? Thank you. That is the end of the test.
