The PAC will continue to serve as our Church for weekend Mass. Please remember to genuflect (kneel) before sitting down for Mass, and also when exiting your row at the end of the service. Journey (High School) Meets: every Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in the PAC. We need to hire a Sacristan for all of our Sunday and Weekday Masses and for Funerals and Weddings. The Brenham Knights of Columbus will hold their Annual Free Throw Contest on Sunday, February 5th, at St. Mary s Gym (the PAC). Registration begins at 2:00 pm with the contest at 2:15 pm for boys and girls ages 9-14 as of January 1 st. The District contest follows immediately at 3 pm. Prizes awarded in 6 age divisions for both boys and girls. Gospel Meditation A light has arisen. Following the arrest of John, Jesus takes up the message first preached by John, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Jesus light shines brightly leading others to God. Seeing the light of Christ is often easy. However, we are not often willing to follow, as we are called to die to ourselves. How is God asking us to change in order to follow Christ more faithfully? Meditación del Evangelio Una luz se ha encendido. Después del arresto de Juan, Jesús retoma el mensaje que fue predicado anteriormente por él, "Arrepiéntanse por que el Reino de Dios se acerca". La luz de Jesús brilla conduciendo a otros hacia Dios. Ver la luz de Cristo con frecuencia es fácil. Sin embargo, no estamos dispuestos a seguirla ya que nos invita a morir para nosotros mismos. Cómo está Dios pidiéndole que cambie para seguir a Cristo más fielmente?
