I sincerely appreciated all the cards, gifts and the delicious cakes. I am overwhelmed at the kindness and generosity that was extended to me. I feel truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve you as your priest. May God bless each of you! Que Dios bendiga a cada uno de ustedes! MEALS FOR THE PRIESTS Once or twice a week over the past months, some of the Ladies of Holy Cross have prepared meals for Fr. Joseph and Fr. Raphael our Parish Priests. This started as a way of thanking our two priests for their availability and service to Holy Cross Parish. This gesture lets them know how much they are appreciated. We now want to put out the word and invite anyone in the parish (man or woman) to participate in this program by signing up to prepare a meal for the Fathers. Perhaps you have a favorite recipe or menu you would like to prepare for them. Know that your entrée will be most appreciated. Both Fathers say they like to eat, but are not very good cooks! This will be our last workshop before our crafts bazaar on Dec 3. If you have items that you plan to donate to the bazaar please drop them off at the workshop so we can begin pricing them. 4 HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH November 6, 2016 THIRTY SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Noviembre 6, 2016 For our Future We continue to make progress towards our initial milestone of $2,500,000 needed to start construction. We are truly blessed to have parishioners who are willing to make huge sacrifices to support this critical project. We thank immensely for their generosity and their prayers to those who have pledged. We still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $5,000,000. Unfortunately, this is not something the steadfast few can accomplish alone. We need everyone in the parish to step up and pledge; if this dream is to become a reality. Many of you contribute to the success of the parish in various ways and it is greatly appreciated. The time is now to go beyond your curent level of support and make a financial investment in the future of this parish. There are over 2000 families registered at Holy Cross, and up to today, we have pledges and cash of $1,864,974, or 75% of the amount needed to start the construction process, with 193 families participating! If you have not pledged, please find it in your heart to complete the pledge form located in the pews and place it in the box in the back of the church or go to to pledge online. 5 7000 Morning Star Dr., The Colony, TX * Office: * Fax : * On Friday November 11, 2016, Holy Cross will host a parish dance at the Cascades Meeting center here in The Colony. This is a fun evening designed to celebrate the hard work our parishioners have been doing all year long. Come out and have an enjoyable evening with your fellow parishioners. We will be serving snacks, coffee and tea. Also, for those interested, there will be a cash bar. Festivities start at 7 pm and conclude at 11 pm. We have a limited number of tickets so please purchase your early. Tickets are $30 per person. Tickets will be on sale after each mass starting this weekend. Our Knights Council will be preparing breakfast in conjunction with the blood drive.
