11 Comments/Opinions I think this song is about the destruction of The Self. It's all about "swinging from the chandelier", which literally means to have sex with as many people as possible. She is also involved with heavy drinking, and she has too many times tried to escape from the pain in her life, so now she has given it all up. This is a song about social suicide and about how to completely ruin everything which evolves from an identity doing unhealthy things to your body and your mental health. I like this song because the sinzger, Sia who writes letters for other artist like Rihanna, Madonna or Beyoncé has a very good volume of voice and an awesome performance. In the video you can see a little girl dancing and doing the things I said before about suicide and the pains in her life.
