Why is it important to actually use envelopes (or ParishPay) to make your weekly contributions rather than just putting cash into the collection basket? Because somewhere down the line you will probably come to the parish in need of contribution verification, especially for income taxes purposes or to qualify for Catholic Tuition Rates at your child s Catholic School. We are able to track weekly donations only when our parishioners use their envelopes or utilize electronic fund transfer through ParishPay. Loose cash or checks do not get posted to our database. To have your tithing documented please be sure to use either the envelopes or ParishPay so we may properly record your contribution to the parish. When including a check in the donation envelope, please write your envelope number (which is also your Parish ID number) in the memo line of your check, as well as list the check number on the envelope. Thank you for your assistance and God bless you for your continued generosity. Originally they were not on Santiago property, last Sunday they violated Lake Forest City Ordinance covering private property and came on our property to the Parish Hall in front of the Church. We will have them removed either voluntarily or by the police. Please do not be confused the Lake Forest police know of this group, its much larger than we see and in fact are bused into Lake Forest. This is not a family living on the fringes, its a scam. However recognizing "who are we to judge" we recommend you DO NOT give them money, instead tell them to call 211. 211 is Orange County services hot-line it's answered by a human with lists of resources where one can obtain almost any service they need. food, shelter, health issues, both mental and physical. JMJ 28 May 2017 My Dearest Parish Family, God be with us always. A Blessed Feast of Ascension to all. Congratulations to the families of those who receive First Communion in our Spanish Religious Education. After presiding at three Masses one after the other, then having a lunch meeting with a lovely couple whose Wedding Vows I will witness this coming July, then celebrating the Christening (Baptism) of four precious children Edward Jr., Hazel, Ruby and Autumn and then finally receiving Elijah the grandson of friends from my former parish in Anaheim... all last Sunday s event... I remember muttering to myself is yeah love is dynamic difficult but not impossible. Before our Lord ascended to Heaven, he had two parting words: one an assurance that we will never be alone even at the same breath He tells us to go and spread, be witnesses to all the world. We have gots a lot to do people, an expression y friend during seminary days would often say. It gives me so much joy, consolation and inspiration how people responded in the PSA Update and Appeal made last weekend. You have all been great in your willingness to come together so we can accomplish much. Hats off to Pat Walloch and Jeanine Sansone for being brave enough to speak to us. Surely that thermometer will see northern movement. Gratitude and blessings to all! I leave space for the Camino now; only after humbly asking that we pray for those receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this coming weekend. God bless and take care. Amor y oraciones, Fr. Thomas Camino de Santiago Compostela What and Why? For the next three weeks we will answer the questions: What is the Camino, and, Why do Pilgrims walk the Camino? St James the Apostle traveled from Jerusalem to the Iberian Peninsula, now Spain, where he evangelized for approximately two years. In 44 CE, James returned to Jerusalem where King Herodes Agrippa tortured him to death, thus he become one of the first Christian martyrs. Here history gives way to legend as it is said that the king forbid the burial of James body, which was stolen by disciples, placed in a marble sarcophagus, and brought by boat to the Spanish coast in Galicia. The body was transported to a hillside north of Flavia and buried, remaining undiscovered for nearly 800 years. Once discovered through miraculous intervention, the Bishop of Flavia, decided to investigate. The Bishop found the tomb, containing the bodies of St. James and two of his followers, Athanasius and Theodore. A shrine was built/dedicated to St. James at Santiago de Compostela in the 9th century. Pilgrimages to the shrine became the most renowned of medieval pilgrimages, with those who returned from Compostela to carrying back with them a Galician scallop shell, as proof of their completion of the journey. The scallop shell became a Christian symbol for St. James, which many pilgrims wore as a sign to anyone on the road that they were pilgrims. Next week: Our Lady of the Pillar Two weeks: Tradition of Carrying a Stone Fr.

Luego, rompe o quema esa carta. Toma la decisión y perdónale! No esperes más! Perdona y serás una persona libre! Dios te bendiga!
