TRATAMIENTO VHC Y CIRROSIS.PERSPECTIVA GENERAL Los pacientes con cirrosis por VHC tienen una menor probabilidad de respuesta al tratamiento. Razones que justifican una menor respuesta al tratamiento Los pacientes con cirrosis compensada por VHC pueden ser tratados con alta eficacia. Los pacientes con cirrosis descompensada por VHC pueden ser tratados y hay que considerar su transferencia a una Unidad especializada de trasplante hepático. El tratamiento en lista de espera es factible pero se asocia con una elevada tasa de efectos adversos y hay reserva sobre su utilidad. Los pacientes con cirrosis tratados eficazmente tienen un beneficio clínico evidente pero no compensa totalmente el riesgo de complicaciones 4
