It was thoroghly tested and tned at the factory for best performance. Cstomer Record The model and serial nmber of this prodct are located on the back of the television. Yo shold note the model and serial nmber in the space provided and retain as a permanent record of yor prchase. This will aid in identification in the event of theft or loss. Prodct registration for U.S. cstomers is available at Model Nmber Serial Nmber Care and Cleaning Screen (Trn TV Off) Use a mild soap soltion or window cleaner with a soft clean cloth. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS. Avoid excessive moistre and wipe dry. Note: Do not spray any type of cleaning flid directly on the screen. Cabinet and Remote Control For cabinets and remote control, se a soft cloth dampened with water or a mild detergent soltion. Avoid excessive moistre and wipe dry. 5 Installation Television Location Follow these recommendations before deciding the location of yor television. Avoid excessive snlight or bright lights, inclding reflections. Keep away from excessive heat or moistre. Inadeqate ventilation may case internal component failre. Florescent lighting may redce remote control transmitting range. Keep away from magnetic eqipment, inclding motors, fans and external speakers. CAUTION: Use this television receiver only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manfactrer, or sold with the apparats. When a cart is sed, se cation when moving the cart/apparats combination to avoid injry from tip-over. In order to avoid injry to children, never place yor television receiver on a piece of frnitre that is capable of being tilted by a child leaning on it, plling on it, standing on it, or climbing on it. Optional Cable Connections Shielded adio and video cables shold be sed between components. For best reslts: Use 75-ohm coaxial shielded cables. Use appropriate inpt and otpt connectors that match yor component connectors. Avoid long cables to minimize interference. PRESS ACTION TO EXIT MODE - To select TV (antenna) or CABLE mode depending on the signal sorce. FIRST PLEASE CONNECT THE ANTENNA AUTO SET UP IDIOMA/LANGUE ENGLISH MODE CABLE AUTO PROGRAM Press VOL to select TV or CABLE. 14 REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION Programming The Remote The Universal Remote Control can be programmed to operate many manfactrers components, sing the component fnction bttons for VCR, DVD, CABLE or DBS. Follow the procedres for programming yor Remote Control with or withot a code for the component. Procedre Confirm that the external component is plgged and operating. Trn the component off. ACTION Press and POWER together, for at least 5 seconds. Press appropriate component btton on the Remote Control VCR, DVD, CABLE or DBS. Enter the 3-digit component code sing the Remote Control nmeric keypad (0 ~ 9 bttons). Press the Remote Control POWER to test the component. If the procedre was sccessfl, the component will trn on. Programming Withot A Code Helpfl Hints: Unsccessfl Code If the component does not operate with the Remote Control, repeat the procedre sing another code. (Some brands have mltiple codes). If an incorrect code is entered, or if the procedre takes longer than 30 seconds, the programming will fail. This procedre searches all codes and is called the seqence method. Confirm that the external component is plgged in and on. Trn the component off. ACTION Press and POWER together, for at least 5 seconds. Press appropriate component btton on the Remote Control. Press VOL to move forward to the next code. Press VOL to move backward. Press the Remote Control POWER to test the component. If the procedre was sccessfl, the component will trn on. Note: Repeat the above steps ntil the component code is fond. It may take many attempts before the correct code is fond. ACTION After the code is fond, press to store the code. 12

15 Component Codes REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION The Universal Remote Control is capable of operating many component brands after entering a code. Some components may not operate becase the codes are not available de to limited memory. The Universal Remote Control does not control all featres fond in each model.
