Please review your conference times and confirm with the teachers that you will be able to attend. Children who turn 5 years old on or before August 31, 2016, are eligible by state law to attend kindergarten next fall. Kindergarten Round-Up will be held from 1-6 PM Thursday, February 25 th at all Olathe s elementary schools. 4 New Library Payment Policy for Lost or Damaged Books The district policy for collecting payment for lost or damaged elementary library books changed in January. The school library staff will no longer collect any funds for payment of lost/damaged books. We consider a lost book one that has been out for over 3 weeks. Once the library staff has created the fine in the library management program, that program will communicate overnight with My Payments Plus to start the billing process. Families who have a My Payments Plus account will see the charges when they log in. If you do not have a My Payments Plus account and do not choose to create one the library staff will continue to notify you by and overdue notices will be sent home with your child or thru the mail. You might also get a paper invoice by mail as the district will send those out twice a year. Payment for lost/damaged books can be made to Mrs. Traylor in the front office. Mrs. Traylor will send the payment to the Education Center where payment information will be entered into My Payments Plus. Once that has happened the school library will be notified of payment. If a family pays for a lost book, they may receive a refund for up to one year should they locate and return the book in good condition. Please contact us if you have any question or concerns. Nueva Póliza Para Pagar Libros de la Biblioteca Perdidos o Dañados En enero el distrito cambio la póliza sobre la colecta de costos de libros perdidos o dañados de la biblioteca en las escuelas primarias. El personal de la biblioteca de la escuela ya no cobrará por los libros perdidos/dañados. Un libro se considera perdido si no se ha devuelto a la biblioteca por más de 3 semanas. Una vez que el personal de la biblioteca haya establecido el cargo en el programa de manejo de bibliotecas, ese programa se comunicará durante la noche con Mis Pagos Plus (Mis Pagos Plus) para iniciar el proceso para cobrar por el libro perdido/dañado. Las familias que tienen cuenta en Mis Pagos Plus verán el cargo por el libro perdido cuando inicien su sesión. Si Uds. no tienen cuenta en Mis Pagos Plus y no quieren crear una cuenta, el personal de la biblioteca continuará notificándoles por correo electrónico. Avisos de vencimiento serán enviados a casa con sus niños o por correo. También puede ser que reciban otra factura del distrito por correo, el cual enviará estas cartas dos veces al año. Pagos de libros perdidos/dañados se pueden hacer con la Sra. Traylor en la oficina principal. La Sra. Traylor enviará el pago al Centro de Educación donde se ingresará la información de pago en la cuenta de Mis Pagos Plus. Una vez que se haya procesado el pago, la biblioteca de la escuela será notificada. Si pagan por un libro perdido, pueden recibir un reembolso hasta un año después en caso de que puedan localizar y devolver el libro en buenas condiciones.
