2 UK IR GEAR REDUCERS SERIES MOUNTING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GEAR REDUCERS The PUJOL speed reducers series L are suitable for driving all types of reduced speed equipment and machines. Due to their housing being completely closed, they can be installed in the open, in dusty places or damp or salty environments, etc. The reducers are fitted with synthetic rubberoil seals and top quality ball bearings. The direction of rotation of the output shaft maybe clockwise or anti--clockwise, as required. The components of this speed reducer have been subject to strict controls throughout their production process. Once mounted, this speed reducer has satisfactorily passed, among others, the following controls: Noise volume, sealing, shaft eccentricity and misalignment, speed, power and finish. POSITIONS OF MOUNTING This speed reducer can be mounted in any position and needs no maintenance. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING Ensure that the gear reducer are installed in suchaway that they are mounted onaclean and flat surfaces, which wil not cause stress or tension in the gear reducer. It is advisable to use astretch coupling for transmitting the force directly from the speed reducer to the machine to be driven. The pulleys and pinions should not be forced into the shafts bya hammer or mallet but should enter smoothly by the pressure exerted by a bolt screwed into the threaded hole at the end of the saft. otherwise the bearings could be damaged. For the holes of the elements to be mounted we recommendan H7 tolerance, and for the shafts a h6 tolerance. LUBRICATION The gear reducer can be supplied direct from the factory with long lasting grease lubrication. Only in the case of an occasional loss oflubricant should the latte r be topped up with the type stated on the specifications plate. Do not mix greases.

4 E REDUCTORES SERIES INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE Y MANTENIMIENTO CARACTERÍSTICAS DE LOS REDUCTORES Los reductores de velocidad PUJOL serie L son apropiadospara el accionamiento de toda clase de máquinas y aparatos de velocidad reducida. De construcción totalmente cerrada (provistos de retenes de caucho acronitrilo--butadieno), pueden instalarse a la intemperie, en lugares polvorientos, húmedos, salinos, etc. El sentido de rotación del eje de salida puede ser a derecha oizquierda, según elección. Los componentes de este reductor han sido rigurosamente controlados durante todo su proceso de fabricación. Este reductor, una vez montado, ha pasado satisfactoriamente, entre otros, los siguientes controles: Sonoridad, estanqueidad, excentricidad y desalineación de los ejes, velocidad, potencia y acabado. LUBRICACIÓN, POSICIONES DE MONTAJE YMANTENIMIENTO Este reductor se suministra con lubricante de larga duración incorporado. Puede montarse en cualquier posición y no necesita mantenimiento. Solamente en el caso de alguna pérdida ocasional, reponer lubricante del tipo indicado enla placa de características. No mezclar lubricantes. PRESCRIPCIONES GENERALES DE MONTAJE Los reductores con patas o con suplemento en el eje de salida deben montarse de manera que se asienten sobre superficies completamente planas, que no originen esfuerzos o tensiones ylos reductores con brida de fijación deben montarse en una superficie perfectamente perpendicular al eje de salida. En ambos casos se recomienda para transmitir la fuerza directamente desde el reductor hasta la máquina aaccionar el empleo de un acoplamiento elástico. En caso de aplicación como reductor pendular, debe preverse un brazo de reacción. Los organos fijados en el eje de salida no deben entrar forzados a mazo o martillo sino suavemente a presión con un espárrago por el interior del mismo, en caso contrario podrían dañarse los rodamientos. Recomendamos para los ejes de los elementos a montar una tolerancia calidad h6. Para el eje de entrada utilizar un espárr ago roscado en el agujero existente en el extremo del mismo. Recomendamos para los agujeros de los elementos a montar una tolerancia calidad H7.
