2 INSTALLATION STEPS IMPORTANT: USE TEFLON TAPE ON ALL THREADED CONNECTIONS PASOS PARA INSTALAR IMPORTANTE: USE TEFLON EN TODAS LAS CONEXIONES DE ROSCA STEP 1: Shut off water supply. Disconnect and remove old faucet. Remove new faucet from package and set in place. If sink is uneven a small amount of silicone sealant may be required. This will seal faucet to surface of lavatory and prevent water from seeping underneath. PASO 1. Cierre el suministro de agua. Desconecte y quite la llave vieja. Saque la llave nueva de su envoltura. STEP 2: Screw locknuts onto faucet shanks. NOTE: NO wrench is required to attach locknuts. Hand tightening will secure them in place. Paso 2. Atornille las contratuercas a las espigas de la llaves. However, if you encounter sinks with an unusually rough surface, it may be necessary to use silicone sealant in addition to the gasket or in place of it. Assemble black gasket and nut to body. STEP 5: IMPORTANT: Stopper can be installed as either removable or non-removable. NON-REMOVABLE STOPPER INSTALLATION. Before installing pivot rod and strap assembly, insert stopper into pop-up. Insert pivot rod into pop-up body so that pivot rod goes through opening in bottom of stopper. Stopper Tapón Strap Solera PASO 5. 3 STEP 6: Press on yoke until it snaps over locking tabs. Make sure both sides are secure. PASO 6. Presione la horquilla en el tubo hasta que abroche sobre la lengüeta de cierre. Asegúrese de que ambos lados estén seguros. STEP 7: Insert lift rod through hole in top of faucet and ball on strap assembly. With pivot rod in down position adjust lift rod so that when pushed, stopper will open... pull up, it closes. Tighten nut. Lift Rod Barra de Izar PASO 7. Lower C Inferior C STEP 9: Make connections to water supplies. PASO 9. Haga las conexiones a los suministros de agua. WATER SUPPLY HOOK-UPS (NOT PROVIDED) Choose hook-ups for 1/2" I.P.S. connections: Ball nose riser (3/8" O.D. copper tubing), or 1/2" I.P.S. faucet connector. 4 FLUSH YOUR FAUCET STEP 10: IMPORTANT: After connections have been made, remove aerator, turn handles to full on position. Turn on water supplies, check for leaks and let lines flush for one minute without moving faucet handles.this will remove debris from lines which can damage internal parts of faucet and create leaks. After flushing, shut off water at faucet and replace aerator. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Important: After any maintenance, be sure to remove aerator and flush both hot and cold lines for one minute each. Your AMERICAN CRAFT washerless faucet will give you years of trouble-free performance. Although its finish is extremely durable, it can be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. WARNING: DOW BATHROOM CLEANER WITH SCRUBBING BUBBLES AND LYSOL FOAMING BASIN TUB AND TILE CLEANER MUST NOT BE USED ON THE CLEAR KNOB HANDLES AND LEVERS. USE OF THESE CLEANERS CAN RESULT IN CRACKED OR SEVERELY DAM- AGED HANDLES. IF OVERSPRAY GETS ONTO THE HANDLES, IMME- DIATELY WIPE THEM DRY WITH A SOFT COTTON CLOTH. 5 IF FAUCET LEAKS FROM SPOUT-Replace seats and springs, Repair Kit RP SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Remove handle. 2. Unscrew and remove bonnet nut. 3. Pull stem unit straight out.* 4. Remove seat and spring and replace with a new seat and spring. Note: Refer to insert for proper seat and spring installation. Reassemble faucet in reverse order. IF LEAK PERSISTS Replace Stem Unit Assembly Repair Kit RP2083. SI SU LLAVE TIENE FILTRACION DESDE EL PICO - Reemplace los asientos y resortes. Equipo de Reparaciones RP CIERRE EL SUMINISTRO DE AGUA. Equipo de Reparación Ensamble RP2083. IF FAUCET EXHIBITS WATER FLOW REDUCTION 1. Remove aerator and flush faucet, check for large debris and replace aerator. SI TODAVIA NOTA FLUJO REDUCIDO 1. Unscrew and remove bonnet nut. 3. Pull stem unit straight out.* 4. Remove seat and spring and any debris trapped in spring. IMPORTANT: USE EXTREME CAUTION. Flush lines by opening water supplies SLIGHTLY! We recommend placing a bucket over the valve opening to prevent water spray. Repeat procedure on other valve.
