Destaca el mantenimiento por la Comisión Europea de un sistema de definiciones voluntarias respecto a la RSE (supresión) y subraya que la contribución de las empresas a la mejora del medio ambiente debería mantenerse sobre la base de la voluntariedad, instando a los Estados miembros a promover un código de buenas prácticas armonizadas en el marco de la Unión Europea. Amendment 7 Paragraph 4 4. (Deletion) Emphasises that companies should be required to contribute to a cleaner environment by law rather than solely on a voluntary basis. Amendment 8 Paragraph 5 5. Calls on the Commission to develop mechanisms for the registration, evaluation, verification, implementation and enforcement of internationally agreed Codes of Conduct such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (deletion); Amendment 12 Paragraph 7 7. (Supresión) Recomienda que, en el contexto de la iniciativa global GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), las directrices elaboradas para la presentación de informes sean un punto de referencia para la elaboración de un código de buenas prácticas armonizadas; subraya que las empresas deberían indicar en sus informes las normas ambientales que aplican en las operaciones e inversiones en terceros países y especificar la relación de dichas normas con la legislación comunitaria correspondiente en materia ambiental. (Deletion) Stresses that companies should indicate in their reports the environmental standards they apply when they operate and invest in third countries and illustrate how these standards relate to relevant pieces of EU environmental legislation; Amendment by Erik Meijer Amendment 14 Paragraph Asks the Commission to speed up the process of developing EU-Ecolabel criteria for further product categories and calls on Member States to effectively monitor compliance of environmental claims of a self-declaratory character with commonly agreed ISO standards and to introduce proportionate and dissuasive sanctions in the case of any claims which are either false, misleading, meaningless or nonverifiable; Amendment 15 Paragraph roept de Commissie op, in versneld tempo door te gaan met de ontwikkeling van in het kader van de EU-milieukeur te hanteren criteria voor nog meer categorieën producten en verzoekt de lidstaten eco-label producten meer en beter te promoten en er effectief op toe te zien dat niet door een onafhankelijke derde partij gestaafde milieuclaims niet toegelaten worden; Amendment by Erik Meijer AM\ doc 5/7 PE /1-21

6 Amendment 16 Paragraph Calls on the Commission not only to raise awareness amongst public purchasers about the possibilities existing Community law offers with regard to the integration of social and environmental considerations into public procurement but also to propose improved public procurement rules in this respect, including statutory minimum standards governing environmental performance; Amendment 17 Paragraph Calls on the Commission (deletion) to raise awareness amongst public purchasers about the possibilities existing Community law offers with regard to the integration of social and environmental considerations into public procurement (deletion); Amendment 18 Paragraph 11 a (new) 11a. verzoekt de Commissie, de Raad en de lidstaten maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen voor alle eigen diensten als maatstaf te nemen, aan te sluiten bij EMAS en niet alleen een social-ecologische correctie van het aanbestedingsbeleid door te voeren, maar ook het eigen geld (o.a. pensioenfondsen) duurzaam te beleggen op basis van sociaal-ecologische criteria; Amendment 19 Paragraph 11 b (new) 11b. verzoekt de Commissie en de lidstaten 'groene nationale rekeningen' die niet louter op financiële aspecten zijn gestoeld, maar sociale en ecologische aspecten mee in rekening brengen en die ontwikkeld werden door diverse internationale instellingen, te gebruiken; PE /1-21 6/7 AM\ doc

7 Amendment 20 Paragraph 13 a (new) 13a. Solicita a la Comisión que dé continuidad al Libro Verde sobre Política Integrada de Producto presentando un Libro Blanco, que contenga el conjunto de directrices y propuestas que faciliten tanto a productores como consumidores la plena utilización de los instrumentos y oportunidades que ofrece el mercado para conseguir un funcionamiento del mismo más ajustado a la práctica del desarrollo sostenible. Amendment 21 Paragraph 14 a (new) 14a. Solicita a la Comisión que presente propuestas dirigidas a facilitar a las empresas el acceso fácil a una información de calidad y a una formación, que les permita elaborar con el menor esfuerzo posible memorias de sostenibilidad, pilares fundamentales para el posicionamiento sostenible de las empresas en los mercados, tanto nacionales como internacionales.
