1 Easter 2017 (Semana Santa) PILAR DE LA HORADADA Friday March 10 th 2017 Via Crucis precession with the sculpture of Nuestro Padre Jesús Cautivo del Amor Time: 10.0 pm. With particpation by the brotherhood "Hermandad de Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza Pilareña" Route: Departure from inside the parish church, Church square, Calle Vivaldi, San Pedro square, Calle Agustina de Aragón, Calle Virgen de los Remedios, Calle Doctor Marañón, Avenida de San Pedro and Calle San Isidro to the brotherhood hall at number 24. Sunday March 12th 2017 Lent announcement Easter 2017 At am. Street parade with bands of bugles and drums with the different brotherhoods along the streets of town. Participating bands are from the brotherhoods: Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno y Mujer Verónica de la Santa Faz, Cristo Crucificado, Nuestra Señora de los Dolores y San Juan Apóstol y Evangelista and Hermandad Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza "Pilareña" y Jesús Cautivo del Amor Hermoso. At pm. - Gathering in neighbourhood "Obispo Bascuñana" of all bands of bugles and drums. At pm. - Parade of bugles and drums along Main street and Calle Almirante Manuel Rebollo up to the Town Hall s square (Plaza Campoamor, 2) accompanying the standard of the Board of Easter Brotherhoods (Junta Mayor de Cofradías) and all the standards of our town s Easter brotherhoods. At pm. Ceremony requesting the Mayor that all the streets and square in town are maintained for 2017 Easter processions. At 1:00 pm. - Lent announcement official ceremony outside the Town Hall by Parish priest and representative of the Board of Easter Brotherhoods, Mr José Antonio García Martínez, along with the president of the Board Mrs Mari Carmen Villaescusa Sáez and the town s Mayor Mr Ignacio Ramos García. Saturday March 25th 2017 Religious music concert with participation of local marching band Unión Musical Horadada, Band of bugles and drums of the brotherhood Hermandad de Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza Pilareña and Asociación Coral Horadada Time: 8.30 pm. Friday April 7th 2017 Via Crucis Procession Viernes de Dolores (Friday before Good Friday) Time: pm. With the participation of the brotherhood Cofradía de Cristo Crucificado Route: Departure from inside the church, Church square, Calle Escultor Manuel Ribera Girona, Calle Ramón y Cajal, Calle Isla, Calle Triana, Avenida San Pedro, Plaza San Pedro, Calle Vivaldi (opposite the Parish Assembly Hall) and Church square. ***In the Via Crucis, the sculpture of Christ Crucified is carried by members of the brotherhood without the float and during the procession the 14 Stations of Penance are read. Sunday April 9th 2017 Palm Procession Palm Sunday Time: am. With the participation of the brotherhood Cofradía de Jesús Triunfante Blessing of Palms and olive branches at Plaza San Francisco Route: Plaza San Francisco, Calle Agustina de Aragón, Calle General Perón, Calle Triana, Calle Escultor Manuel Ribera Girona, Calle Orihuela, Calle Mayor, Calle Pedro Gea, Plaza Campoamor. Consuelo de los Afligidos y San Juan Apóstol y Evangelista from Main street (opposite neighbourhood Barrio Obispo Bascuñana), Calle Dr. Barraquer, Calle Escultor Manuel Ribera Girona up to the the entrance of the former Town Hall. Route Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno from Calle Doctor Giménez Díaz by Calle Isla, Calle Azorín, Calle Escultor Manuel Ribera Girona up to the the entrance of the former Town Hall. Route Mujer Verónica de la Santa Faz along Calle Isla, Calle Ramón y Cajal up to the the entrance of the former Town Hall. After the Meeting, the procession begins from the entrance of the former Town Hall in Calle Escultor Manuel Ribera Girona by Calle Ramón y Cajal, Calle Mayor up to Church square where it will end with a reading, prayer and handing of blessed rosemary from the float of Jesús Nazareno. Thursday April 13th 2017 Procession of Silence Maundy Thursday Time:10.30 pm. With participation of the brotherhood Cristo Crucificado. Route: It will be carried from its usual place in calle Azorín, along calle Isla, calle Vivaldi, up to Plaza San Pedro where the official route of the procession begins along Calle Agustina de Aragón, Calle Virgen de los Remedios, Calle San Isidro, Avenida San Pedro to Plaza San Pedro ***In this procession, the float of Christ Crucified ( Cristo Crucificado ) visits the Virgin (Ntra. Sra. de la Esperanza "Pilareña") at the brotherhood's hall in Calle San Isidro, 24 ***Along this procession's route all public lighting is off in mourning. ***Each person carries a lit candle and hands it to the Board of Easter Brotherhoods. Friday April 14th 2017 Holy Burial General Procession Good Friday Time: 8.00 pm. With the participation of: Paso de la Convocatoria, Cristo de la Eucaristía, Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, Mujer Verónica de la Santa Faz, Ntra. Sra. de la Esperanza Pilareña, Cristo Crucificado, Ntra. Sra. de la Piedad, Cruz de los Labradores, Cristo Yacente, San Juan Apóstol y Evangelista and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. Route: From Calle San Isidro by Avenida San Pedro, Calle Triana, Calle Escultor Manuel Ribera Girona, Calle Ramón y Cajal, Main Street to Church square. Sunday April 16th 2017 Procession of the Meeting Easter Sunday Time: 9.30 am. With the participation of: Cofradía Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores y San Juan Apóstol y Evangelista, Hermandad del Santísimo Cristo de la Eucaristía and the Sacrament in the Sacred Pyx, along with penitents and all the other brotherhoods. Route for San Juan y Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores : From neighbourhood Barrio Obispo Bascuñana, Main street to meeting place. Route of Santísimo : From the church to Church square, Calle Vivaldi, Plaza San Pedro, Avenida San Pedro, Marques de Peña Cerrada, Main street to meeting place. Place: Main street opposite Church square and Calle del Mar. After the meeting, the procession continues along the centre of Church square to Plaza Campoamor (outside the Town Hall) where there will be a mass service.
